Please remove "sniper" from the list of banned chat words

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Bugs
1

Issue Description: The word “sniper” gets censored in text chat, which isn’t very useful when it’s one of the standard enemy types in the game and one you often need to call out without being able to tag it.

A heap of asterisks appearing in the chat when you’re downed just makes the team think you’re swearing at them, which comes across as toxic rather than the helpful call out it’s supposed to be.

Steps to Reproduce: Attempt to type “sniper” in text chat. Word will be censored.

Mission Name (If Applicable): Any

Sniper is censored? Huh that used to be in the beta, is it back or was it never fixed?

I’d heard that it was a problem previously, but I have no idea whether it was or wasn’t fixed.

In any case, it is currently a problem, and I had to explain to my team mates that no, I wasn’t shouting rude words at them, I was trying to tell them there was a s-n-i-p-e-r.

tbh, a report feature should be enough to hold people accountable, its not like people don’t know how to circumvent cencorship anyway, and sometimes everyone got toughskin and don’t care, let people swear…
