The Terminus keystone at its base, is a pretty straightforwards keystone, that isn’t timed, havng instead stacks that you gain and expend per hit. I like that part a lot, because i don’t have to hurry or worry about losing my buffs like weapon specialist on veteran.
However, the two other bottom nodes wants you to hoard stacks to activate buffs at a certain threshold, like 15 stacks for the first, and 30 for the second.
This, I’ve found, lead to me to holding onto a weapon longer than I should, and in situations I shouldn’t just to reach the thresholds. If I play normally, I do not reach those threshold in normal situations. If I do not reach those threshold, then I start thinking I am wasting my points, and I should be doing something else.
Arguably, you can reach 30 stacks immediately with a rapid fire gun spray, but that still means you need to hit enemies 30 times, and waste ammo spraying things you don’t need to shoot. And there is the argument to be made that you can just hit or shoot things naturally until you get 30, but I usually play on high difficulties, and have to swap out weapons quick according to the situation.
I do not have any suggestions on how to improve this, but I do know the two extra nodes encourages wasteful and reckless playing to get stacks to 30, and is unconducive to higher difficulties for me.
