Plasma Gunners - strange delay between sound and shot

There’s some delay betwin charge and shot, was it like this before hotfix?
I know it may be skill issue, but isn’t it causes misunderstanding when player should dodge

Maybe it’s to give the player more chance to dodge? But yeah it feels like shot should be much closer to the end of the charge

This is due to the shot cooldown 1.5s → 2.4s change in the hotfix. New audio is in the works but not added yet. Pretty yikes level of jank but hopefully fixed soon.

more proof of the incredible stringent play testing that goes on with fat shark updates. obviously someone powered up the game after changing this number and noticed right away the complete mismatch between the audio playing and the shot firing. just kidding, this never happened and they shipped it broken. again.

Honestly I dont entirely hate it, its definitely jank, but having that clear audio queue before the shot similar to how snipers do is kinda nice. Hopefully they add something thats at least kind of similar to this as an intentional mechanic.

That’s one awful delay to be sure. I’ve yet to play the latest update.

Ah, yes, they changed fire rate, make sense that old sound gives wrong feels
