They ended up adding the melee requiement rather than all kills
Celebrating the win there but there are some crazy buffs in the tox section.

Yeah but perhaps Tox will be counterproductive towards the melee kills requirement like with Blinder Grenades so Tox builds using Coated Weaponry will have a harder time replenishing ammo with Pickpocket for Needle Pistol. Needle Pistol ammo replenishment is the most egregious.
I’m more worried about the new mega OP talent that pushes enemies every time they melee hit you with only 8s of cooldown

Still the most degenerate parts of Scum in H40 were 100% ranged Desperado builds and Needle gun so pickpocket getting nerfed axes them both
They really nerfed the ability to pew-pew with an smg but BUFFED the Tox, the most OP and unfun aspect of any class they’ve ever made?

Well this is going to kill a whole lot of the fun of it it for me. I realized while playing the class that I was playing a fun shooter for the first time in years. This will actually have anti-synergy now with the ult that gives infinite ammo, because you won’t recover any ammo during the ult.
While I can see why people got annoyed about the class shooting up all the hordes, it is so hard-walled by Crushers and Bulwarks that I don’t think it was too unbalanced. Maybe this will be a non-problem, but I can think of a lot of scenarios where this completely ruins runs where you’re going for the unique-to-the-game pure shooting build.
Ironically, this will only benefit the melee scum build where you just carry the needler to trivialize all things the scum has a hard time with with. And I hear they buffed tox stuff, too? Does any of this make any sense?
I can see them nerfing the tox stuff when the new class releases, also yeah fatshark be fatshark buff the already strong playstyle for absolutely no reason.

Your Ogryn example was bad since first taunt is not degenerate and second his Gunlugger talent is getting ammo regen so you can also use that now
Idk what to tell you man I played Havoc 40, rotten armour included, with Desperado scum and it shredded hard, Bulwarks didn’t stop sh lol

You already know that regen is going to be bugged with hyper-critial so ranged scum will be struggling to get a kill.

Perfect example that havoc makes with the brain, like since when the trash mode for like 300 people out there is a measure to balance? Oh lemme ask the weapon, did you play with the needle yeah? What about the pistols where you need a 2-3 focking clips to kill a single regular Crusher? Ah we talk about the meta, glorious h40)0)) totally forgeting about the weapons as shotguns which barely exists even with inifity ammo
Yeah, that perk asked the one line of nerf “doesnt work with dots” not forcing the class identity to melee. Btw, heard something about infinity ammo las veteran or braced veteran? Ogryn exploding the whole room? Zero sense to play HS if you can do the same with Veteran which also has a tonns of dmg vs elites

I don’t actually think it inherently bad on one class built around it. It is something lots of people wanted - I was against it, but now it exists in the game, and it’s not like it can be taken out.
I would genuinely like to see this build and your gameplay. Can you share it? I must be doing something wrong, because when I play it takes nearly one whole magazine to the face of a Crusher, with stim, to kill it, with twin smgs or shredder. With Vraks IAG it can kill a little easier, but mostly because ADS lets you bean heads more accurately from a distance.

I will never find it not weird how people who stack all the “qol” advantages are so very concerned about the balance of the game. Even removing tox gas visuals… Crusher “Cleave” shi and all that.

Fun gameplay to watch! What are your settings/what mods do you use to get such simpler environs? It was a bit harsh on the eyes but I would love more visual clarity in my game.
You’re really a great player, with a great team. But in the first 14 minutes you killed 1 Crusher, and while you did outplay several Bulwarks, they also walled you very effectively and tanked your DPS while forcing you to give a lot of ground. Isn’t that exactly being walled?
So in a very good team, Desperado clearly very strong - like, yeah, bonkers, and again, that’s some strong gameplay.
But that’s not the pub experience, tho. I mainly play solo maelstroms, because group finder is so hit or miss on Havoc. In there, teams are not so coordinated or skilled and the issues of being walled by armor and being squishy are more prevalent. If no one is dealing with the armor for you, you have to deal with it. Even the delete button of the rocket launcher does not solve this problem, and teams of all/mostly Hive Scum often can’t deal with the amounts of armor I see in just Maelstroms.
I dunno if we should balance around the pub experience or high-end, I err towards the latter, myself.
But I don’t disagree the talent needed a nerf; I just think it’s bad, thematically, to attach it to melee. Give it a slight cooldown, which could force you to think more about each shot but not simply be forced to switch to melee to get your ammo back. Yeah, this is a melee game, but on this one build of this one class, I’d like to see it allow to be full FPS.
