PSYKER
Blessings, Feats and Abilities:

• Fixed an issue where ‘Warp Charge’ cost would incorrectly increase when using ‘Brain Burst’.
• Fixed issue where Psykinetic abilities sometimes would get interrupted by being stunned.
• Psykinetic tweaks:
  • Increased the damage bonus gained from ‘Warp Siphon’ by 3% → 4% per Warp Charge
  • ‘Warp Siphon’ charges will now fall off gradually
  • Increased the damage and stagger of ‘Brain Burst’ by 10%.
  • Increased the damage taken by the target from 15% → 25% when using ‘Cerebral Lacerations
• Fixed issue where ‘Kinetic Overload’ could target dead enemies.

Nice changes, definitely the right direction. Shame there’s no attention being paid to the toughness situation, 100 base toughness, with the feats we have, simply isn’t enough for a lot of people i’ve spoken to. Manageable, but i do think to make the psyker more appealing base toughness or the feats need changing.

Increased the damage and stagger of ‘Brain Burst’ by 10%.

Much welcomed buff, yet an extra 5% would make BB more attractive for people to use for the time spent channeling. From what i’ve gathered talking to people on here, the dmg-output/channeling-time seems to make up a large portion of the dissatisfaction around BB.

Nice, extra dmg is always a bonus, but it should be 5% if the squishiness of psyker isn’t going to change. Another thing i see repeatedly on here is that psyker is all glass and no cannon. As it stands, you have to be very good at psyker to have a decent amount of cannon, these dmg buffs are cool but seemingly are falling a bit short of where they should logically be for how much glass there is with psyker.

Also, i made this point months ago in one of the first psyker suggestions threads, Force Sword Special kill (on elites) should grant a WC. I’m glad that some of those early suggestions are finally being implemented, but even back then people still struggled to gain WCs, now that maintaining WCs has been made easier, the next logical step would be to improve WC generation without it breaking any concepts around the psyker, the force sword is the easiest and most lore-friendly way to implement this.

Also-also, How to fix the Psyker - #33 by MarxistDictator, hopefully that link works, @MarxistDictator made a very good suggestion regarding BB. if i’m understanding the jist of the suggestion, If an ally has tagged an enemy which you do not have LoS over, as the psyker, you can use BB through walls or terrain (essentially not requiring LoS for intial lock on) to target that tagged enemy, giving psyker the edge and identity it so desperately needs. Wouldn’t even mind increasing the cost of BB when using it this way, anyways very good suggestion that i think we should keep going.
