As some commenters have pointed out, should be nerfed to 1 while sword left untouched.
Doing it the way you did is kinda FU towards your players. Making certain blessings so much more powerful than others with currently implemented RNG system.
Flamer is still very strong and can kill packs of crushers with ult abuse and delete anything else. Soul blaze was nerfed alongside for no reason though

I vote we leave flamerkun alone for the time being and lets see how it plays out.
But those power sword nerfs are miserable. From a gameplay perspective its just no fun to mash the power button over and over and people complained about it on launch and now its WORSE. I don’t even play vet much, i just want everyone to have fun and that is NOT fun.
Looks to me like it’s still the strongest weapon in the game by a wide margin then!

Yeah, another flamer nerf will cause a suicide rate spike all over the world.
ive played today with zelot, he was killing enemies just fine with flamer, i (vet) was just helping the medium-rare meat to get chooped with my axe.
i think flamer does enough dmg to hordes, so that anyone with any axe can just chop the reminder with ease to speed up the process…
previous i think hordes died way quicker, but still, dead is dead
was trying the flamer ingame finally. the damage is still ok but you have to get used to the less ammo and tanksize. maybe i was worried too much before the numbers seemed too drastic imo to not panic LOL
btw i was playing much more often with the Mk IX shotty and the Autopistol the last time, it´s a lot of fun too, especially with the dragonsbreath.
maybe i´m a bit obsessed with flames etc… hope it doesn´t mean anything serious ^^
Can we change all enemy flame colour to green because it’s rather confusing when your ally is burning the house down and a bomber also throws a grenade in the midst of it?
Really bad choices… Pick up the most fun weapons and nerf like this because the devs dont play the game or even if play, dont know how it is in t5
Work to buff the other useless weapons instead of nerf the cool ones.

Nah flamethrower was killing the game for the T5 players who knew that there was no actual need to rapidly destroy all the enemies on screen while stagger locking them. That in so doing you remove the gameplay for the squad and all of the intense fun moments of getting cornered by the tide and having to fight your way out. This was actually a good change for the life of the game, I already started leaving on purgation games because it would be little more than a ride along pick up quest grabbing mats. Actively boring to play the game when you aren’t in fear of the enemies.
Patch nuked 3/4 of my character loadouts, thats like 500 hours flushed. I’m never playing this game again.
really shouldn’t build a progression system with extremely heavy time gating and rng and then turn around and nerf stuff people have taken hundreds of hours to try and obtain.
Does this mean crits no longer apply two stacks of burn with these weapons? What is the “correct damage and/or burn stacks?” The fact this was in “Bugs” and not “Balance” makes it really unclear.

- Summary: Powerswords get 1 activation default, total of 3 if running Power Cycler. (Down from 2 default and 5 with blessing)
This change effectively makes Power Cycler a must-have if you wish to use charged swings often and will create a significantly more frustrating experience for players trying to get the blessing due to the slot-machine nature of the crafting system. As if it wasn’t already bad enough.
