From a veterans point of view:
Infantry lasgun and powersword buffs, Volley starting it‘sregen while up and scab stalkers counting for counter fire.
I love it!

The damage increases look great to compensate but please also consider increasing the dodge range and speed if removing unlimited dodges.
Some interesting changes in here, hopefully all turn out good, difficulty buff on all health going up is nice. Plasma buff is great.
Rock buffed, rock better, rock good.
rock buff IMO was needed, now it’s competitive to take while losing out on Soften, IMO.
Now Box needs a buff too because it’s so much worse than the other 2.
The Assail changes will do nothing whatsoever to prevent spamming it, which is the whole problem with it. Reducing damage will make it feel crappy to use; it needs cooldown reductions so it can’t be spammed, not less damage.
Infinite dodge on force swords has been around since the start of the game so the argument that infinite dodge is bad seems spurious as all hell. FS should keep infinite dodges. Ripperguns do not need an ammo nerf.
I so glad you went to the trouble of explaining that this was a bug, I’ve had lots of frustrations with unclear reasoning for bug-fixes in the past.
Seems like FS nerfed some OP things. Specifically the massive toughness and damage reduction abilities that Psyker and Zealot had that needed a little tone down. I’ve only played Psyker and Zealot so far since the class overhaul so far. Hoping that assail spam becomes less common. I already used it mostly as a sniping tool, but it wasn’t great, so this complements my playstyle better, and makes the game less boring for others. Smite rebalancing seems good, too.
I think the health buffs to some elites were probably necessary, as the game has gotten a lot easier. When I took a break ~ 6 months ago, I was struggling on damnation, and now I’m struggling on Auric damnation while regular damnation feels like… kind of a snooze fest honestly. Part of that is that my weapon builds got better, and the talent trees are a large part, but I digress.
That said, nerfing the Plague Ogryn and Beast of Nurgle seems unnecessary. Those have always been easier bosses, and adding a little risk to the encounters made them more fun and engaging to me. I learned quickly to avoid the slime and the stomps at all costs.
Otherwise, nice job on all the bug fixes. Glad to see infernus got a little buff. Was waiting back when I quit for it to get buffed to make a good one and try it out. I think I’ll try it out on vet soon.
Edit: I made a god-tier Recon lasgun MK VId with Tier 4 infernus, and another crit blessing, with more crit, and it’s disgusting. If you nerf it, start gently please. Nudge it back into place. Lol
I KNEW IT!
I like 99% of these changes.
Chain Axe special heavy and light attacks are out of line with other chain weapons though.
shotgun ammo buffs!
I think this change is good even though i agree with your premise. I don’t want 9 oneshottable crushers. I want 9 crushers that take 3 shots to kill. I assume the real tweak will be gunner spam we have been seeing. Rooms with literally 15 gunners are tedious.
I was disappointed there were no new feats to encourage ranged weapon bashing. “Batter” made bashing with your ranged weapon more useful since some ranged weapons swing faster than some melee weapons.
I have similar sentiments with the Revolver and Power Sword myself. Maybe a bit of Laspistol too; I agree with it being more a mobile weapon but it shits out bricks of damage if properly built.
On other notes, I will miss VId being my favorite Recon. It would be interesting to have at least 1 Recon variant retaining the damage ramp up of the other Lasgun families, though maybe putting it on the laser hose was a bit of an odd design choice (chalking it up to a bug). It could at least get the Columnus treatment of more close range damage or ammo instead if it was intended to be the CQC variant, a pure damage to RoF trade is not a favorable one.
Hope Brunt’s Pride gets a second look at. I fail to see any redeeming qualities it has over its brother clubs aside from funny punch.
With nerfs to slap’s impact damage I’m concerned if it can even accomplish its key role of staggering ragers anymore.
No change to Shovel’s Carapace impact modifier either- current Shovel Punch barely fazes Crushers, which is odd because it knocks Monstrosities silly. Current Cleaver uppercut locks down individual Crushers well enough as it is and that is getting buffed instead.
I have not much qualms with most other changes here. Most of them seem to address common sentiments on balance and I’m interested to see how the numbers fare in the live game.
I hope this means rampage works properly now.
Hurray!
Boooooo!
Keep the spawn rates the same on High-Int Shock at least, it’s been awesome.
Deserved I suppose, but I will miss being Sonic.
I thought I was going mad. Nice to know this was a bug.
Tweaked Enemy base health on all difficulties, with focus on bigger Elites to make
them stay alive a bit longer, and for the Conflict Director to not spawn as many:
The increased stats for elites are much welcomed but decreasing the number of them isnt.
Basically removing the tide from the game is not needed, if anything, needs more enemies.
Or just add an option (be it T6 or the ability to make our own modifiers) so people can make the game more difficult.
It would also be a great time to add a modifier adjusting the spawns of elites. I want one that makes Patrols appear that have aggro already applied.
I must say, for the first time in … forever: I have nothing to hate on.
Both the talent update and these proposed changes are almost unequivocally positive changes, and I must say, I am impressed.
Now, I won’t repeat what has already been said a thousand times by myself and other passionate members of the community but … has there been any thought on unlocking our current arsenal?
I understand that the crafting system being reworked any time soon is very much up in the air but it must be noted that all those changes, recent and upcoming have significantly shifted the way we look at blessings, perks, … - re-lock it as per the current system upon modifications if you must.
It would go a long way towards getting people that have been suffering through the less polished version of the game up to this very day to get to enjoy these new features fairly hassle-free, you can even bake that into the reward of our loyalty re: the aquilla debacle. (I personally think you should give us a charm of a golden eagle claw clutching a pearl, that would be fantastic.)
Just my praise and my two cents, take it easy.
this one really makes me mad, that was the only freaking fun part
Eh, there was no need but ok. Overall like that windows/chains changes.
Its another massive cope buff because they dared to touch the reserves. For some reason if you touch the meta ‘x’ it must recieve a minor buff at the same time. Considering how flat the modifiers will be for Ogryn weapons after this update the brittleness will be very low value.
