Others in the group can accept or decline people in groupfinder

Also why can’t we remove people from our group again, if we misclicked the wrong person to invite for example?

I think this really should be changed.

You can also take the mission off the partyfinder when the original player lists it. It’s because there isn’t actually a “leader”, everyone owns the party and there’s no kicking. Bit of a garbage system when it comes to organizing before a mission

A vote kick feature, like the one in missions, is definitely needed. But I don’t really have a problem with the loose structure of the party, where anyone can accept invites, or pull down the listed mission so they can list their Havoc mission.

If there was a dedicated party leader, they couldn’t step away for a minute without the whole party missing out on joins.

Problem is I just had a troll today, that declined all people and I didnt know who it was.
I had to leave my group that I opened…

The problem with anyone being able to allow anyone into the group is the risk of demotions. If im hosting and its my map and I made the group some random shouldnt be able to let someone into the party. Ive been saying it makes absolutely no sense everyone has control of everything. Whats the point of a party finder if you dont even have control over the party. Youre basically just the mission hoster you have no control over anything else. What if I dont want another vet on my team and I want a psyker? I basically have no control over that which is just one more reason havoc is annoying.

MMOs with similar systems (Havoc is pretty blatantly inspired by WoW mythics) just have a party lead system that lets you pass the lead around. In some cases you can even give someone party lead assist and he can act as a second partyleader. You can also talk to people before forming a party via whispers.
Darktides party system needs some fleshing out to allow for similar things for Havoc

That sucks. Those people are out there I guess!

My experience so far is that everyone expects whoever was in the party before them to pick and choose who to let in. That or they’re just too lazy to open up the finder again to pick people. But, based on Bodvar’s response (and common sense), the “hey we’re all reasonable here” approach of the finder isn’t perfect.

Hey, there’s a solution!

That would also be great!

Considering there are objectively horrible players that get carried into the 20s playing with horrible unoptimized builds that have zero boss dps yeah I’d say it’s a problem we are to assume everyone in havoc is competent because many of them are total noobs. Why there are heresy damnation level players in havoc is beyond me. All the more reason the demotion mechanic is miserable. You don’t know whose horrible at the game until you get to the ready up screen and by then it’s too late and we also can’t see true levels.

Havoc starts, imo, somewhere around Heresy-equivalent difficulty, although the baseline enemy stats start at Malice values.

It really is better like this. If youre ‘that guy’ in your group thats always doing the admin regardless of game its great. If someone is griefing, then theyre griefing and a votekick wont solve that. If you dont feel ocmfy with the comp, just make a new party. Games have never really been able to deal with this aspect of human nature, and they may never.

It’d be better to foster a community meta instead and tell people they can invite x if they see it, or you can just say that to whoever joins your group. Communication is like some sort of secret weapon these days.

How not?

How do I ask someone a question before inviting him or how does he ask me something before applying?

This is definitely an unsolved problem. I wonder if the chat service FS is using has a whisper system. Haven’t looked into it.

You cant currently do that in DT.

It wont solve it because the behaviour will go on and votekick systems are obvousl going to be abused.

So how is communication a secret weapon if you can’t actually communicate where it’s relevant? System needs changes

Not if the guy gets votekicked? What is this insistence that being kicked from a party wont stop griefing?

How so? They’re already in game, if there’s 3 people who want you gone out of a party why shouldn’t they be able to effect that? Why would THEY have to bend over backwards for the person who is not wanted and all leave and reform without him?

It’s stupid inconvenient for no reason, but honestly your defense of it is even less sensical

Thanks Murderer, I don’t got the nerves to anwser this person lol.

Communication is a secret weapon because it enales things, if reciprocal and done well. What you and I are doing right now, is not communicating. Not having a chat function does not change the concept of communciation.

Because griefing is human nature. The guy might get kicked from the party, the problem will persist. Therefore, the people that kick will become more likely to kick for less. leading to griefing through abuse.

Because it is easily abused.

I also have something advanced to explain to you. 1+1 = 2

No, he wont be griefing that party anymore. Lmao

Good idea man, I’m gonna throw in the towel.

I would, you proved my point, and were quite open about it.

You have a condescending and arrogant way of communicating and I won’t dignify that with another response.

Other people share my opinion, you’ve given us yours, and I don’t feel there’s any point in giving you any more answers.

It makes sense in an MMORPG… but in Darktide??

I remember having used whisper in several MMORPG while negotiating with enemies… great times.

However, yes the social system of Darktide is just bad.
