I recently learned the hard way that, as a party leader, I don’t have exclusive control over who joins or which mission is selected. When playing higher-ranked Havoc missions, I tend to be a bit picky about who I invite, especially when teaming up with random players. However, I just realized that anyone in the party can accept join requests and select the mission to play. This can lead to issues like trolling, choosing a different mission than intended by the party leader, or having unwanted members join the party.
To clarify: Let just the partyleader accept requests to join and decide what mission to play.
I joined a lobby where another guest was spamming his mission before the team was full, we declined, last member joins and the host starts his mission that, the other guy declines and puts his mission in: Repeat 7 times and then the lobby broke and I could not even quit the team.
Incredible game design, very tought out and idiot proof.
@FatsharkStrawHat Just bumping this thread in case it wasn’t part of your notes.
Just experienced a pain with this last night, was caught confused and accidentally accepted the mission start prompt when we only had 3 people. I wanted to do my mission, so I hosted my party.
I instead had to wait as a penalty for leaving the 3/4 player lobby of a game that hadn’t even started.
