Old modifiers are returning to Darktide?

I just started up Darktide today and I saw the Inquisition icon on two of the missions on the mission board. Now this was weird to me since this icon usually signifies a time-limited event like Rotting Armor or Inferno and the Rotting armor event has already ended. But when I checked what modifier they have, it was “Explosive Uprising”. Currently, there is no event like this happening in the game so it weirded me out a bit. But I decided to investigate.

Since I have the solo mod that allows me to play any mission on any difficulty with any modifiers that ever existed in Darktide, I checked, and Explosive Uprising already exists in the game, which means it must have appeared in the past.

What I’m getting at here is that it seems that FatShark appears to have listened to players’ requests and gave us past modifiers to play around with.

Now as of now it’s just this, singular modifier, so I do not know if there will be more or if it’s just this particular one returning. However, as of now it does appear like FatShark has listened to the feedback and from now on there will be special modifiers from the past on the mission board.

But what do you guys think? Is the Explosive Uprising modifier returning a one-time thing, or is it a sign of old modifiers making a come-back? Do let me know what you think.

That was a silent addition.

I just use quickplay without really looking at board. Noticed small push back from non pox enemies without any damage taken. Confused me at first.

Seems it really is an event. Lasts 16 days. Then modifier probably disappear until next time.

Ah nevermind, FatShark just put up an announcement about this event. So it looks like it is just your standard time-limited event.

Damn, that’s sad, man.

Yeah, I tried deleting this entire post to not potentially misinform anyone, but it tells me that an error occurred :face_with_diagonal_mouth:.

Agreed, I would love to see old modifiers added back in.

I would like to see all modifiers randomly appearing…

just to add variety

I hope they did. Limiting variance in already fairly static and rarely updated game is.. dubious decision. The more the better, at least they should use all those modifiers that are already implemented, from time to time, in regular missions.

I would like to close this post, yes. Please do, since, FatShark Forums site doesn’t want to cooperate with me.
