Ogryn Grenadier Gauntlet is not conferring proper blast damage

Issue Description:

When a target (regardless of the kind) falls within the blast radius of the Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet, they receive virtually no damage whatsoever. Even if the Blast Damage bar is rather full. Pox Walkers tend to take single to low teens worth of damage for instance.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Play The Meat Grinder (or any map where damage values can be observed) as an Ogryn Skullbreaker.
  2. Equip a Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet
  3. Fire it at a crowd of enemies and observe the damage values.

As of Patch 1.0.8 this bug is still ongoing.

It has to be a bug and I hope they fix it fast. Why even have Blast Damage and Blast Radius on a weapon if it’s only going to do very low double digit damage?

Issue is still present as of Hotfix 1.0.14.

Got back from the devs that this is actually all working as intended. This weapon is meant to be more focused on Single Target Damage, which is why it has very aggressive damage drop off. The AoE blast is more meant towards staggering and pushing around enemies around the target.

That said, the stat ‘blast damage’ should probably be renamed to just ‘ranged damage’, to make it less misleading.
