Offline mode keeps crashing when launching

Each time I try to log into offline mode the game freezes in the loading screen before crashing.

I’ve reopened the game and tried countless times and the same always happens. But when I try online mode it’s fine it’s just offline mode. Other games are fine too so it’s not my Xbox Series S that’s acting up

I’d really like some help because all of my progress is there and I don’t wanna lose it. I also really dislike playing with others which is why I’m playing offline

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

I load in. Click offline mode and it starts loading. Then it freezes in the middle of loading before quickly crashing

Sorry to hear this.

We released a console update earlier today, it may not resolve this issue, but it’s worth checking if the issue could have resolve itself post-update :crossed_fingers:

Otherwise, as Offline mode progress is stored locally, if your save data has become corrupted there isn’t anything we can do unfortunately :frowning:

The only recommendations I can make are -

  • Reinstall Vermintide 2 in case the issue is with your installation
  • Delete your save data as this may have become corrupted (Online progress is safe on our servers, however Offline progress will be lost)

Every time I try to launch offline mode the game freezes and crashes in the loading screen. And whenever I try to play online it’s fine until I load into a mission where the same thing happens

I’ve tried everything to fix this. Restart the game. Restart my Xbox Series S I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it all did nothing

This has been going on for 3 days now please help me

Pick offline mode. It starts to load before freezing and crashing.

Pick online mode. Go and pick a mission. Wait until it says couldn’t find a game and for the bridge of shadows to activate. Walk in. Mission starts loading. Loading screen freezes and crashes.

The update didn’t solve it, i did delete my saved data and works now thankfully, though now i have to restart from the beginning so it’ll take days before i get back to where i was

I’m glad to hear that removing the save data worked. Though I appreciate having progress set back is frustrating. Apologies again for this :frowning:
