It’s Friday! Again! This week’s question:

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you go and why?

After spending some time in the Great Smokies recently I’d have to say there. Everybody experiences the urge to live in isolation in the mountains at some point, right? Right?

That’s hard, live for a year, language / culture barriers help narrow it down… probably like to try somewhere more tropical island vibe but still with creature comforts… Hawaii, also recently rewatch Surf movie. New Zealand / Australia too would be cool.

Guess if it was just to visit so many more places and if you could bring a friend… Japan / Germany with my fluent mischievous Grandfather would be fun…must skip a generation.

Okinawa sounds nice or any of the Ryukyu Islands.
I’m thinking either there or USA. So many States to choose from!

If I win a lottery and be able to make this dream real, you’ll easily find me…

I’m from Australia. I recommend visiting Finch Hatton Gorge! It’s near Mackay in North QLD.

I lived in Japan for a year as a break before going to University, very very long time ago.

Fortunate enough to have a friend in college who was an international student from Japan.

So I used his apartment in Yokohama as base home to go around the country.

I could write a complete essay on exactly how they embed concepts of morality and responsibility at young age in the right way to carry into adulthood. That alone should be model for all countries.

The scenery, environment, food etc. I was much more fascinated on how people treat each other and the way they seem to seek perfection in the most trivial things.

So you were…

JK, it is one of my favorite cultures too think Samuri Jack started it mimicking in art style. I’m sure in the flesh is non-comparably greater to our media attempts.

Going to these sites first

JK, thats New Zealand I’m not that sterotypical… but close. I like geography alot too as Tasmania Island seems a cool spot as well as Australia’s long East Coast…but then i hear about the animals there @.@

I’d visit Austria for a year and live with my SO. I miss her.

Yeah. I don’t see much purpose in going someplace unless I’m going to stay in that place for the foreseeable future.

Someplace cold, not cold enough to snow though. One of the Carolinas I think, but its hard to find the combo of cold + no snow.

London, UK

Never snows here. But it is always cold. When it rains, very light rain too.

Most of the year it is 15C outside.
