Non-grenade blitzes requiring grenades to use

Non-grenade blitzes requiring grenades to use feels very bad.

For example, the Medicae Server Skull using a grenade to pick someone up just feels icky, and it doesn’t make any sense. Why would injecting someone with a med stim use a grenade? Yelling at your teammates to get up as a veteran doesn’t use a grenade. Why doesn’t this work on the Motive Engine, or even require you to have picked up a stim (and use that stim).

Another example: the Skitarii anti-ranged shield blitz. Why does this use a grenade?? It’s a shield! It should be on a cooldown like the vastly superior psyker shields! Make it run off of the Motive Engine, since clearly it uses electricity to work (not grenades lol).

Basically, it feels very VERY bad to have abilities that would be a simple cooldown ability on any other class use a grenade on Skitarii. There’s even precedent for blitzes running off of charges or some other mechanic instead of grenades! Zealot throwing knives have charges and don’t use or recharge with grenades. Psyker blitzes don’t use grenades. Hive Scum blinders can be recharged with grenades BUT regenerate with close kills.

Please please rethink making non-grenade blitzes on Skitarii use grenades and instead set them up like the non-grenade blitzes of other classes. Make them run off of regenerating charges, or the Motive Engine, or something new and creative. Not off of grenade pickups.

100% agree. I dont know a single skitarii player without this exact complaint. People who like the shields straight up aren’t using them bc they dont wanna waste grenades on a mediocre shield.

Definitely one of those immersion breakers. If it is changed it would result in longer cooldowns though

not only that, but it would be much better leaving the grenade pickups for others at this point, cause probably they have better blitzes.

and btw obviously these pickups it’s for gameplay balance reasons, but i think for the shield specifically maybe it should have some sort of big cooldown instead being tied to grenade pickups.

For real.
