No Scripture missions available

I have been waiting by the mission terminal for quite a while and have yet to see a single mission that provides the option to recover scriptures. Is this an intentional design choice? If so, why do you make us suffer?

The weekly mission system and the mission choice system are not synergistic at all and terrible for casual players. Between that and zero incentive to play higher difficulties past malice the game can really make you not want to play sometimes.

I’m convinced the Global Blackout condition is doing this again. We shouldn’t have global blackouts until there are multiple hives for this very reason.

Also Double dogs in double dog global condition is clearly bugged, I woudn’t be suprised if this one is bugged to. 3/2 chance it’s an overflow issue.

It’s because RNG game design to this extent is garbage.

There’s RNG shops, RNG stats, RNG missions, RNG side objectives etc.

Basically there’s too much RNG in this game.

DRG has an RNG Mission board, but the difference is that you can ALWAYS complete your assignments since the assignments are based off of completing a specific mission type as opposed to doing a specific RNG side mission. And there’s always every mission type available for you to complete the assignment on regardless of what biomes are available.

Sire Melk needs a massive overhaul.

  1. He needs to respect players time, it should not take 12 hours on average to complete all of his missions for one character, 3 hours would be more reasonable.

  2. I’d delete a bunch of the current assignments, like the really long ones, such as complete 25
missions or get 25 scriptures etc, those kind of missions are just annoying and tedious. I’d rather them be “Complete 3 missions on any map” or “kill 2000 enemies over the course of any number of missions” (this means getting rid of specific kill missions, like kill 500 scabs in melee etc). So make the missions more basic and generalistic so that they are easier to complete and don’t take ridiculous amounts of time to complete.

  3. Add a daily mission, that way people who rush through the weekly will always have some extra daily missions to do, maybe let these daily’s stack up like they do in Vermintide 2.

  4. Rerolling missions should be free, but you can only reroll 5 times a week or something like that.

  5. Make sure it’s always possible to complete the assignments, such as getting scrips or grims. Maybe let us pick difficulty like DRG as well, so we can do a book mission on whatever difficulty we like.

But yeah, if they implemented these changes, doing the weekly missions wouldn’t feel like working an actual full time job anymore, which is good because it’s a game at the end of the day, people don’t come home from work and want to work a second job on their PC playing darktide.

eh, if something needs to be rerolled, it shouldn’t exist in the first place. Why would you still want a reroll system if the weekly or daily tasks made sense?

Player agency, simply giving players the choice to reroll if they really want to.

Besides what would be the downside of optional rerolls? I can’t think of any.
