No fun anymore

OP has friends that are not as good as him. Since the game got a bit too hard for them with the shooter spam on regular T5, OP is not able to enjoy the game with his friends as he used to. Heresy is not a problem for his group but T5 is too much without some measures (psyker dome etc.).
OP is frustrated that he cannot play with his friends.

Then the time dosen’t check out. He said about 2 weeks.
Patch 13 which was the one to change spawn director was at october 3rd. Which was month and a half prior.

T4 and T5 hasn’t gotten much harder unless we’re talking Maelstrom. It really just depends on the skill level and loadout composition of the team you are matched with.

I don’t think psyker dome is 100% required for T5 let alone T4. If your team is going to wipe they’re going to wipe dome or no dome.

No, I can see normal T4 and T5 being harder now because of the increased elite spawn (especially from behind) to balance the fact that hordes dribble out instead now. The timings were also changed because of the increased horde clear times, otherwise the next horde occurs immediately or during the previous hordes. And specialist waves happen more often and all at the same time instead of being a staggered, gradual back and forth pressure.

I think people who say it hasn’t changed are so inured to the difficulty of high int or maelstrom that they have totally lost perspective on difficulty and can’t really see how other people can, will and are struggling with the changes.

sorry to pick on you specifically a lot of people are making this point.

a blocked toilet isnt hard to deal with but no one goes around volunteering to do it.

something doesn’t have to be hard to be a problem.

and us being able to adapt to something doesn’t some how change it to being good.

the question really should be are those gunners/shotgunners the best way of getting whatever they do contribute into the game?

imo no they are not i think there is a lack of counter play (its pretty much kill them first) and they are mechanically too simple. they disproportionally apply their threat. and they use too many things that are a big fun kill, stuns and large knockbacks, i think they also have negative impacts on weapon and talent choices.

My only issue with shooters lately is that reapers and heavy gunners don’t stop shooting when im in melee, which makes my flawless trek to them through sliding and side dodging feel pretty bad.

Yeah those have to be staggered to stop.

I mean, i did acknowledge that this is annoying. If something in the game is annoying it is bad for the game by defenition.
