Why is havoc a complete buggy mess right now? My group and I got demoted because we got a mission abort error right after loading in. Not just once but 4 times.
The new group deranking is a goddamn slap to the face despite all the push back against it.
Good job on killing havoc for the few players that actually enjoyed it.
BUT if you override the DLSS DLLs to 310.2.1 manually in the Binaries folder and don’t use nV App override, it defaults to K preset properly, so it’s a slightly out of date DLL issue mostly, looks like.
I did a Restore on Program Settings for DT after manual DLL updates:
So the same as nvApp overrides as expected, just shouldn’t reset w/ driver updates I guess.
Note: DLSS Swapper may have trouble as there are multiple DLLs in Launcher folder not just \binaries as expected, so do some manual updates (maybe remnants just for me?).

From the description in the teaser and later the dev blog, it was always pretty clearly going to be a wave mode.
I don’t think this was made for the “0.00000001%” but rather the casuals who aren’t into Havoc and would prefer some sort of power fantasy type of gameplay. All in a little room. I guess.
In my understanding of games = waves of enemies is something complex that one prepares for and takes the fight to in advance. And here it’s not even waves, just a couple of enemies come out and you have to kill them. Endless mode, and the higher you go the better the reward, I have no desire to go to this mode even to have fun, but I need to make a video for youtube, and how cool I repeat that in the patch note there is a description of all the changes. And especially the different arena buffs, ah yes there are none, you have to go to the builds site and read…
And by the way I ABSOLUTELY do not understand why great ideas for this mode are not implemented in the main game, BB psyker in a small AOE - this was talked about and proposed long ago, instead of adding this buff - it was locked in doom mode, but not added to the main game, which would have raised its usefulness quite a bit.
I’m confirming this, the new Transformer/CNN toggle for DLSS in the graphics settings is not working properly. It should be using the J or K preset when you select Transformer (because those are the presets of the DLSS Transformer model) but it uses preset E which is from the CNN model. So as it currently stands it’s all just the CNN model and you can’t access the Transformer model through graphics settings. Tested on a clean install with no external settings affecting the game. Needs to be hotfixed.
Back to the stuttery mess again. I thought you might include some of the experimental fixes @Axloss has been implementing? Dunno if his experimental build is safe to use yet with the new patch
mortis trials it is too way easy and it is not even because of the boons really
while some of the boons/modifiers are obviously strong, which is fine for this type of game-mode, i’d expected at least to have composition of enemies equal to Fortunes of War, requiring actual skill. there is not even a single wave that puts the entire team in a clutch scenario.
there should be some sort of auric version of it / secret hard mode, to unlock a difficult one, which if i’m not wrong, I heard in the dev stream that there is some secret but dunno which, i guess the equivalent of secret hard mode like in orthus offensive?
how can both extremes mortis/havoc been considered with so much effort/energy yet noone thought it a good idea to strive for middle ground aka instant access havoc without demotion and freely pick-able modifiers on a map of choice ?!?
i mean you got the mmo/raid/FIRST part in abundance, seems havoc was created when sweden celebrated bizzaro-world-day
did my part in a raid guild 15odd years back, wasnt fun, appointment calendar for slots was filled 3 months in advance with 8-10 hour raids (preparations not included)
honestly, i did it a couple times but in the end said “screw it”.
havoc has NONE of that carrot right now but is all stick.
sure, good premades will enjoy the stick part.

Why the hell did you nerf lucius’s bayonet? You think there are few lucius players, so nobody would care about the nerf? Lucius has already been unwelcome due to its poor switching speed, and you just nerf its self-defense ability to make it trash?
