this fight was a lot of fun and well done and i think it adds a lot of potential for cool new future raid boss fights. the only issue was it wasnt difficult enough. some things that could really add to the enjoyment are modifiers such as
-No Respawn or set amount of team lives
-significantly more special spawns consisitant through the entire fight
-at 50% hp bosses enrage adding 100% damage
-100% shield regen speed to the boss that breaks their shield first
make the journey to the boss significantly harder with auric maelstrom buffs but if the team wipes allow for respawn at the treasure room before the boss
without specials modfiers this content is not fun enough to play more then once
A revolutionary new boss idea, create a boss with interesting attack move-sets, which are dodge-able and allow for weaving in counter-attacks by the targeted player, instead of just dodging and blocking as team mates are expected to do damage. A boss which doesnt push you back / damage you with its attacks when you are behind it.
i’d like the idea of evolving surroundings, maps changing up due to the intensity of the fight, pillars collapsing, crashing through floors etc. so boss fights wouldnt have a clear pattern but some kind of levolution to it.
could be a 1 out of 3 paths each, for several floors/areas, this could make for a more individual feel.
Honestly, the Tox gas choke points seem to indicate that Fatshark is already beginning to take in the Community Feedback surrounding this exact topic. I love the unpredictability of the Orthus Offensive, how I died on my first attempt of it because our team didn’t plan ahead, how that completely changed the way I tackled the mission in the next run, et cetera; it’s absolutely beautiful and I do hope that Fatshark continues to offer us more welcome surprises like this one in the future!
You can keep smacking Rinda between her combos and even between hits in her combo as long as you are moving away from her. It’s just her attention span can be a bit lolrandom and suddenly target a person on the other side of the arena.
