Do you know when you have chat bug (can’t type or can’t send) during a mission, does it apply only you or everybody in the team?

iirc, just me. When I’ve had a buddy on.
I assume that the chat is run through a totally separate relay from the game, whereby you can lose connection to it while still retaining your game connection. Shame there’s no /chatreboot command option to re-connect.

It applies only to me, and it happens when I lose connection or get booted off the match without crashing the game

Seems to be isolated to 1 player. Happens far too often >_0

This is a known issue and it has happened to multiple of my friends, including myself. When I say “known issue” don’t get your hopes up and think Fatshark is going to fix this anytime soon. There are tons of “known issues” many completely breaking the game - dodges not working, ghost hits, sound ques not working, weapon swaps not working. They clearly have a very specific agenda that entails “moar cosmetics, less QoL”. Which is why we have modders providing us with content that should of been in the base game a literal year ago.

It’s happened, usually after a disconnect - it’s like the game knows I left the chat but doesn’t let me back in.
It’s stopped happening, recently.

3rd party chat server for voice and text, Vivox. I haven’t had a drop in a while fwiw (that I can recall).
Tip: the Emotes still work.

I think it can be both. I’ve often had it where I can’t talk and then no one else does. Whilst this might be the case that No one is actually talking it’s actually very rare to not get a single GG at the end of a match so I believe it can happen individually and also as a team.
I had it happened once and it was with a strike team where I had a friend join with me

That’s what I’m wondering when you have chat bugged does it mean you can’t see other ppl typing too or you just can’t type.
You can still type, but it goes nowhere. Gets eaten in the ether.
They can still all type. They can see each other’s messages. It works for them. You can’t see anything they do.

Hi, hello! I am chasing this bug and pushing for work on it. It’s been moved to high priority. The best person in charge comes back beginning of next week, which is when I’ll be able to provide a better update.
