The only time my Evi has ever stopped even after cleaving through a couple of Ragers was in high difficulties on severe Horde Mass. But that’s it. Otherwise even when I have mixed Elites in the Horde, it will cleave and rend right through them and continue into the other targets.

I do agree with the poster who stated weapons have different effectiveness at different difficulty levels. I too felt Bolter and Flamer were pointless at lower difficulties… but became extremely valuable in higher difficulties because of Horde mass, mixed hordes of Elites, and many other things that change in the higher difficultiees.
So much so that my standard loadout on Zealot will either be Evi + Bolter or Thunder Hammer + Flamer. Yeah I will still use Braced Autoguns as well depending on the mission, and even the occational Las Rifle. But many of the Melee Weapons aren’t so good on Elites and you really need that past Malice.
I have tried the Knife build and I did get a combat knife most would wet dream but honestly it wasn’t any more effective than my other loadouts and took a lot more effort to pull off.
If you use bolter onj low difficulty you use less ammo if you use it correctly.

Its better due to his fast kill rate.
Faster completion mean also faster way to get ammo and less consuption.
i dont know how we can argue this.
Also small gameplay hour mean smaller chance of understanding.
Your favorite weapon would allow me to give you different way to use it depending on difficulty witch could prove my point about overall use on any difficulty and better chance for you to understand since its your weapon.
i literaly play with many darktide streaming partner who agree with the fact : best build for D5 works on all of them.
Why use flame thrower on low difficulty :
Again, manage it, like i said
ROUND THEM UP, KILL THEM
Example : hit them fast with knif, turn around, flame them, they DIE
Same with bolter !
Thats not commun but thats what i did to rush my frame witch is extremly effectiv on low difficulty.
THATs why you LACK HOUR and trainning compared to me witch is relevant to our understanding !
