Like when playing in team.

Malice is still easy. Even a maelstrom.

Jumping to heresy is the true challenge. Things usually turn bad when a monster appears.

I clean Malice usually, Heresy sometimes, Damnation only one time with a low intensity (but not really tried too much).
I really feel that heresy is not so difficult. But playing solo means that an error can cost the run. As you may have noticed, bots are not the best teammates…

I played a Malice with bots, was far too easy. Im pretty sure Heresy will be the same. Damnation will probably be too much for bots but even then I think the extra help and the fact that bots stick with you like glue will actually simplify it.

No, for me True Solo is the only way to go when trying Solo runs :sunglasses:.
Solo with bots imo is only for times when ppl dont wanna play with others in pubs to either practice or be anti-social.

Iv never been particularly gifted in Tide games which wasnt helped that my friends never really got in to it. As soon as my buddies played a few hundred hours of DT, we were finding Aurics too easy much of the time, but they have abandoned me yet again  (they might pop back every now and then, but I think Iv had most of what Im gonna get from them for the most part)

I will be sure to post my first Heresy True Solo on the forums, maybe sooner rather than later.

Aw geez, I still haven’t tried true solo.

Word of advice for higher difficulties, taken from personal experience cleaning house away from my team:

  • Stunbombs are invaluable get out of jail free cards
    • Pre-emptively throw them if you think there’s a good chance you’re not going to survive an incoming situation cleanly - don’t wait until it gets nasty, because then it’ll be too late
  • Bolter does more DPS than boltpistol, but you will have to segment the reload in hordes
  • You’ll probably want a dodge reset weapon - if you find yourself getting constantly overwhelmed without getting cornered, try using a TacAxe or DS
  • Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer
  • Thin out the trash while kiting elites until it’s just you and those

I kinda went in blind with my build and just rolled with it.

I think yes, I would take stuns instead of fire nades.

I would rather the bolt-pistol over boltgun, but Im using revolver here :yum:

Like I say, this wasnt built for True-Solo, I just happened to have the build on and rolled with it. Im kinda game to try out meta and non meta builds for challenge and fun.
Next Im gonna take my Crucis build in. Recommended? No way. For the Emprah! Yes

Not in… solo

I actually use Bolter… just cause it is OP. It deals far more damages than any other weapon you can get (out of veteran restricted weapons).

That’s how I always get wiped… 2 minutes before being wiped I am always thinking “That’s good… see… not difficult…”

Actually, only psyker I haven’t tried on solo. Zealot is obviously great due to its talent to survive to a fatal hit. However, about weapons I would say that you should avoid all that is weak… cause bots are already too weak.

nah stun bomb probably works best solo because you get the 10 seconds of no enemies (except bosses) guaranteed. with zealot’s finesse boosts (you’re on the stun side so if you don’t take duelist what are you doing) you can basically murder spawn/plog in that time with stuff like knife or dueling. and the relic blade. when you’re pubbing people sometimes throw the stunned enemies, ending their magic disable period when they just climb back up. pretty irritating with things like bulwarks.

and psyker has a plethora of tools for soloing, perhaps the most brutal being the soulblaze shout. you can basically just main that running around and avoiding stuff with warp charges, its pretty ridiculous.

ogryn and veteran have to work a little harder in solos because of how their stamina regen is worse. harder to avoid everything, and less killy in the general sense (especially on hitmass). you are forced to go slower. at this point I play a lot of offline if at all because I don’t want to wait for maps I actually like to appear without dogs or fog or something.
