Please rework Melk’s missions.
After some time you have very little incentive to complete the missions, and yet they are annoying since you lack control.
Proposed changes:
Make them more varied, tiered and account wide.
First of all, there are too few missions.
Kill scabs with melee/ranged.
Kill what ever the other ones are called -copy paste-.
Pick up Diamantine.
Pick up Plasteel.
Play x missions.
Play missions where noone dies.
Pick up books.
Kill monstrosities.
More options could be:
Play x missions with y weapon type.
Kill x with y.
Kill x poxwalker.
Hit x headshots.
Block x times.
Play mission type x.
Ping supplies (pickups).
Hit/kill x enemies with grenades.
Play as x class.
Help another player (revive/rescue/use a stim/heal, provide ammo).
Play a mission with modifier x.
Having these be tiered makes it so you can get a few Melk-bucks for small amounts of progress, and more if you play more. Same as is, but it isn’t gated to 1 specific number. If you do more, you’re not punished for doing more and not rerolling.
And if you want to only play one or a few characters, having it be account wide means you can.
Maybe Hadron chimes in, giving you a weapon with some tweaked stats?
Maybe these weapons have the “wrong” blessing on them? Something from another weapon type.
Extra speed when you power on the power falchion?
Or some new blessings that are not tied to a specific weapon?
