This is really simple. I am comparing this to V2 as its your previous title and has some systems that work well and others that don’t.
I understand that this may have been sorted already but the mission rewards need an overhaul if not;
Optional Boss Fights - They should ALWAYS yield additional rewards. Similar to the loot die in V2. Call it an Emperor’s Token or something, whatever, but these big bosses that can wipe a team on harder difficulties giving us zero reward for extreme risk is frankly just not fun or accepetable.
Emperors Gifts - What the heck? I have one class at 18 and I have seen maybe three of them, tops. Is this totally random? because if so it needs to be changed. The V2 system is not perfect for sure, but it feels awful to finish missions and get zero rewards at the end aside from basic exp and money.
Shared items - There are weapons that are equippable on multiple classes and the three token slots. These absolutely should be shared between characters. Now, If you don’t want to do weaponry that is fine but the tokens should at the very least be shared: You are introducing a fake grind and time to aqquire gear that is just not fun to persue. V2’s shared tokens made the higher difficulties and rewards worth aiming for because you could at least get some progress on other classes with shared charm/tokens…which brings me to the final points.
Higher Difficulty - Higher Rewards
This should be a very basic and obvious thing. The higher the difficulty, the higher the rewards. Risk vs Reward. The current exp reward is moderately OK with some increases but the jump is insane in difficulty yet the extra exp is not.
The money is however. Currently this encourages people to grind Tier 1/2 Missions over and over before attempting T3+. This is fine if that was your intention for leveling.
Secondary Objectives - Scaling
These need to scale to the difficulty somewhat and be introduced to T1 missions. Doing a grimoire on a T5 should yield a godly amount of exp and credits; doing it on a T1 mission should give you some nice pocket change.
Will this encourage people to do them on T1/2 ? Sure, but for those who -really- want the challenge and also want to do the high difficulty content for achievements this will encourage that AND reward it.
