Missing Penance Cosmetic

I was in the middle of a mission and finished the “Guard Command” Penance, but the mission was aborted due to a network error.
When I loaded back in, the game says I’ve completed the penance, but I don’t have the cosmetic.
I also wasn’t able to “claim” the penance from the Shrine Penitentax, so I don’t know if I got the points from the penance as well.

Update: During the next mission, I was told I recompleted the penance and I was able to obtain all the rewards once that mission was completed.
