I’ll be rather brief on that one. It’s useless as it is now, but it may become useful if next requirements will be met:

The region highlighted on the picture above needs to be slightly glowing, pulsating slightly from time to time when rendered on the post-match results screen

If any player hits the hotkey for team merging, there must be a distinctive, unique sound notification played, and there needs to be a much brighter pulse issued in that region, to drag other players’ attention; it needs to be repeated for each subsequent player deciding to go into the merged team

It must not be a vote, by pressing the button you only agree to join the newly created team yourself; but ideally there should also be a list displayed, with nicknames of players who have decided to join already

If you are already a part of another squad and decide to join the new one via this feature, you automatically leave your current squad
