The matchmaking in lobbies needs some rework to avid situations where one team has multiple new players while the other team has mostly experienced players.
I don’t know how the matchmaking is weighted, but even if I have 80 rank on versus or whatever the number is, I cannot carry a lobby with two lvl1 and a lvl20 beginner, while the other team is full of lvl35s. I don’t mind some new players in a lobby with me, but there is only so much veteran players can type in chat for them to help. new players pick up the rat side faster, but still pose no challenge to heroes in a lobby like this.
this makes for a very unfun experience for both teams. when I was stuck on the other end, we just played a walking sim at that point.
match one:
on fort map the 2 level ones died before the the house event, and I stuck there with a slayer.
2nd round: my teammates died before crossing the river…
match after that:
grain map. same kind of team. our team wiped on the starting field. we didn’t got to the 2nd round.
It is unfun on the other side too. It is not great to steamroll ppl who just booted up the game for the first time.
My suggestion is to somehow shuffle new players into both teams instead of stacking one with all of them. Again, I don’t know how the player distribution is made in a lobby, but versus rank is not the way to go for sure. even a relatively new player with 50-100h in the game can manage dodging/blocking/pacing, while they can have low versus rank. total starters on the other hand just dying to overheads from SVs.
pls look at this issue
