Make Every Shot Count penance bugged?

So I’ve now done 3 seperate Heracy threat missions tonight using a pistol and missed about 10 shots out of hundreds for each match. I’ve made sure I’ve used all the ammo by the end… But no penance.

Am I doing something wrong? When it says 90% accuracy I assume that just means a registered hit and not a kill? Most are kills (with the red crosshair) but some are hits (white crosshair).

Do I also need to ensure my grenades are depleted too? They regen every 60 seconds but surely grenades aren’t part of the penance?

Kinda annoying as it’s so easy… But I seem to be missing something to complete it.

I’ve also been using melee… Which I assume doesn’t affect it.

Edit: I just completed it. I counted the misses this time which came to 14…which I feel is actually more than the last games so :man_shrugging:

A fellow vet was in the squad and I gained 1 single bullet from his aura whilst entering the valkarie. Luckily I noticed this and quickly reloaded and fired off the shot before the last guy got onboard :joy:

i have no idea, but this is actually tougher than it looks because it’s real easy to shoot at something and someone on your team kills it in the instant between you pulling the trigger and the shot landing.

Mmm, how most of us did this achievement before the updated achievements were introduced.

We’d get in the game, shoot, miss, rack up more ammo. In short, we’d get almost to the end of the map playing normally, then shoot all the ammo into the ground except for the last shot, hit alt+f4. Reconnect to the game. Take one shot at the enemy and run to Valkyrie.
Ta-da! Achievement complete.

if you’re at 0 ammo, you can switch to melee and the challange won’t count aura pickups.

No way! I did not know that. Thanks. That’s useful to know.

Yeah I didn’t really care about the penances before the update and now I’m finding I have to 100% it, so have some catching up to do :joy:

Speaking of which… I’ve got to do the one about not taking any melee damage on malice threat game. I thought that would be easy but since the enemies have the same reach as Inspector Gadget then they can get a slight tickle in at any given moment.

I assume I’m not allowed 1 hit even if it doesn’t go below my Toughness. Any tips for this one? Which map and build etc?

I’ve been trying to find the ranged only special condition maps but haven’t seen one in days. Same goes for enhanced blitz… Seems to have disappeared recently.

Take weapon with tiny ammo amount.
Do not pick up any ammo during mission.
Do not pick the talent fox extra reserves and do not bring ammo aura (duh).

Waste all of your ammo on dense hordes and bosses.

Once ammo is empty, swap to melee for the rest of the mission.

Thanks, I completed it last night. Now I’m working out how to do the one where you don’t take any melee damage during a malice game… Harder than it sounds. The enemies are all stretch Armstrong :joy:

Remember that you take no damage from a melee that strikes you at full toughness.

If you want to make it easy, you can go for invis ult and knife mobility.
Or use voc ult.

With a buddy on the team, you can probably get it done in 1-2 attempts.

Of course, you can do it with low int modifier to make it even easier.

I did it in Relay Station with a Shout-Build an a LasGun.
All Toughness-Curios to have a nice buffer for the one Hit u might get.

And gameplay wise i did what the penance is named after: overwatch: searched nice spots where enemies could only come from one direction and killed 'em ranged (ammo pool due to talent tree near infinite) and if some enemies came to close O shouted and repositioned.

Was quite easy on malice, did it in one go.

Helped another mate as psyker with Trauma staff to keep enemies away from him in addition to his shout. He played IAG.

Ah so you’re allowed to take a few smaller hits if it only reduces Toughness and not damage?

I thought it meant you weren’t allowed any hits whatsoever.

That’ll definitely make it easier

Yes you are.

Most dangerous is shooters deleting your toughness and a random poxy walking arround the corner.

Use a Veteran build with active team shout ability(yes, you need to take + 1 talent in this ability that gives super stamina) that gives yellow stamina, use constantly. I don’t remember what the difficulty should be for this achievement, but look for maps with reduced hordes on difficulty 4 (> down). It will make it easier to do.

Thanks guys. Forgot to update on this. I did this one first time which was pretty great after the trauma of Shocking Stuff :joy:

I’m now doing some of the others now. Like killing a bagillion armoured enemies with krak grenade… That one is going to take a while. Krak grenades take so long to explode that team mates have often killed the intended targets before it explodes :man_facepalming:

All you need to do is pick up more grenade recovery and damage talents, after which, constantly drop them in any major skirmishes. Maps with large hordes or gold missions will help you.
