Make earned blessings available for all staffs

not sure what it affects also, but i just learned that a blessing earned from Purgatus isn’t available for Void for example.
why that?
I mean its all Staff blessings, no?
I know there are maybe other weapon categorys that are affected by this exclusivity.

RNG is still too much we’d all agree i guess, to lowe it a little make the earned blessings available to all weapons of that type.
iirc Pistols arent affected, a blessing for the Agrippina is also available for the Zarona

It is completely consistent across the entire game.

All weapons are named the same way:
Name - mk - family (at least in english language)

All staffs are in a separate family, so ofc they do not share blessings.
Also, some blessings are not available on all staffs anyway and would probably be a bit imbalanced on some of the staffs, since they are so different from each other.

Headhunter autogun
Infantry autogun
Braced autogun
Are different families

Infantry lasgun
Recun lasgun
Helbore lasgun
Are different families

Devil‘s claw sword
Heavy sword
Power sword
Force sword
Are different families

So of course
Voidstrike force staff
Purgatus force staff
Trauma force staff
Surge force staff
Are different families, too.

Nope, seperate for each model of staff/gun/shovel etc. It’s so you have to grind and farm more with RNG. Simple as that.

i kno, i know :frowning:

I agree with you in general. I know the staves are different weapon “families”, but it’s quite aggravating nonetheless to know you have a T4 blessing of the exact same name on one weapon, but OH NO NO you can’t have that on that other weapon because player f*cking retention strikes again.

Staves don’t have the same name nomenclature, so it make sense that they don’t share.

But there is also a bigger reason they aren’t shared, they don’t have the same lists:

Trauma Void Surge Purgatus
Blazing Spirit x x
Focused Channeling x x x x
Rending Shockwave x
Run ‘N’ Gun x x x x
Surge x x
Sustained Fire x x
Terrifying Barrage x x x x
Transfer Peril x x
Warp Flurry x x x x
Warp nexus x x x x

Honestly I would be in favour of having the staves be recategorised into 3 “family” where Trauma and Void would share, and Surge would share blessing with future Biomantic staves and Purgatus with Pyromantic staves

I meant if I have say, “Bloodletter” on a chain axe it should be available on a chainsword at the same tier.

There’s no reason it wouldn’t be there other than player retention. It’s the same blessing.

The only blessing that I’m aware of that is shared between different weapon families but are different is Infernus: the version for recon lasguns have different numbers to the ones for the infantry lasgun and laspistol.

There is also bloodletter on the eviscerator.
Which is also the exact same blessing…
Except it was the same, but is not anymore, because it got rebalanced.

Same thing with many other blessings.
They are technically the same, but are not automatically unlocked for all weapons that have access to it (if they are from a different family) because blessings are getting balanced per family.

Infernus is on all four las families and three different versions between them.
Bloodletter is shared between all chain weapons, but is weaker on the eviscerator.
Decimator used to be different for different weapon types (is not anymore).
Headtaker is different for axes, than it is for heavy swords.
Slaughterer used to have three different versions for different weapon types (but does not anymore).
Surgical is different for revolvers and lasguns, than it is for the other weapons that get it.
Blaze away stacks per 10% ammo for some weapons and per shot for others.
Blazing spirit is different for staffs than swords.

Gloryhunter
Headhunter

The list goes on.

I think there might actually be about the same, or even more blessings that are different between the families, than blessings that are identical for all families that get it.

Honestly they could make them unlockable and people wouldn’t be all that worried, but I guess they have to artificially pad the grind somehow.

Oh I’m fully aware. Theres also Heahunter blessing on accatran vs infantry lasgun.

Still same blessing. Different values.

Should only need to unlock it once.

Imho an earned blessing should be available for all weapons that can have that blessing, even if the Blessing works slightly different for balancing.

I would say have Surge and Purge share a CC Staff family (because let’s be honest, they are all using the same blessings) and then have Trama and Void share a explosive family and just give the void rending shockwave.

Then new staffs could get their own family.
