Lots of crashes lately

The game has been crashing a lot lately and giving me this error
[Script Error]: scripts/unit_extensions/generic/aim_templates.lua:217: => index 0 is less than minimal index value 1
It doesn’t seem to be me doing any thing and i don’t really get any other crashes from other games so it doesn’t seem to be my computer either. Thought VT2 crashes A LOT. Like at least once a day when I’m playing. The game has been getting more and more unstable over the years but this is the worst that it has been.

Also reading through the threads it seems others are crashing a lot as well giving more credence to my thought that it’s nothing to do with our hardware and more to do with the software of the game.

So we can properly investigate, could you please share a crash report, or your console log files from any sessions this crash occurs?

Another CTD this time when player is joining same error. I’ll try and copy paste the ID since it seems to happen every session this time

Thanks @BtheLee, I can’t see anything immediately amiss from your logs. Though your console log itself is truncated, and cuts off (due to the CTD) without printing any errors.

It’s a shot in the dark, but generally I would try the following:

Doing all of the above will provide you with a clean baseline, and hopefully catch if anything is amiss between your OS, drivers and the game files/settings itself.

Please let me know how this goes.

There appears to be an issue when connecting to our backend service provider:

I’ve seen other similar reports, so it’s possible that temporary disruption with our backend service provider may be the cause. We are currently monitoring this, though our service provider hasn’t notified of any outages just yet.
