- It has zero place in a Co-Op Game
- You and youre Team are supposed to stay in Coherency for the benefit of the Coherency Toughness Regen and Aura Benefits.
- If you aren’t in Coherency your Team only can get up to 3 Coherency.
- If you are in Coherency its a dead Skill doing absolutely nothing benefiting no one.
- Its complete trash compared to the other two Auras as well which benefit you and youre Team more.
At the very least move it to a blue Node and introduce a new aura
Yup Team Unremitting would be a decent replacement.
I imagine a new aura something like this:
whenever you abandon coherency you gain XX movement speed and XX damage for XY seconds while your team gets XY toughness regen for the same amount of time
some aura that would incline that hit and run playstyle that CAN be useful and fun under certain circumstances

I had some auric teammates getting really pissed off at me because I was running Loner-Stealth for a penance XD (prob because they kept on dying, a skill issue on their part). It is kinda fun for auric damnation but Havoc 40 it feels like throwing and defiantly understandable why teammates would not want to play with you.
its ok we just have to wait 8-10 months for arbites, a mini weapons update, vet tree update and holidays then zealot would get some work.
I don’t like playing with people running that Aura either because the whole Gameplay point of it is to stay away from your Team and out of Coherency and as a Zealot you can contribute a ton more as Horde Clear and against Specials/Elites at the Front and support in Coherency instead of egging away at ranged Units in distance which any other Class can do better and isn’t even needed to have someone there.
it fullfills an unnecessary Role; takes away an needed Role and is actively preventing your Team (and yourself) from getting the full benefits and if ur close to Allies its just a dead Skill.
And i would do Penances in Mortis Trials, easiest way to get them. But tbh even there its mildly annoying when someone does the Loner/Shroudfield Penances because then the Enemies aren’t nicely coming to one place to be cleared easily but run around the whole Map

Please no, that would be not much better then loner. Aura still would be dead if you stay with your team, and would encurage yo-yoing around coherency radious to keep buff up.
For a good reason almost all auras are simple bonuses, there is enough mechanics to play around as it is.
Slap boring +25% stamina regen or +10% sprint speed, and all will be fine, as intended.
Actually it’s just to maintain passive heal with or without team…aura’s and coherency really aren’t that strong to be noticed anyway though.

“Dead if stay” is an excellent point, but I think encouraging some yo-yoing is exactly what it should do, rather than enabling leaving for extended periods.
Given that 2 states would be rewarded it might be hard to avoid making things a little more complicated, but not necessarily too complicated.
X stacks of stamina regen that build up in coherence? They start wearing of for the rest of the party if the Loner leaves coherence. For the Loner, they turn to stacks of sprint and start wearing off.
But, OTOH, I would agree that replacing it entirely, with something that in no way encourages leaving coherency, would be an improvement over the current implementation. DT needs all the coop tools it can get.
In their defense I was running way ahead of the team to kill gunners. But yeah, Loner is contrary to Darktide’s systems.
Yah that’s happening a lot lately trying to clear the threats while rest of the team struggling to just survive. Influx of fresh meat somehow jumping up to damnations
Indeed. I can see how the devs imagined it to be used for a team member striking from behind, but the problem with said team member is that he doesn’t need the team.
I don’t have any issues with Loner being the way it is as much as other people seem to do, because Survivalist is arguably the only aura you’ll notice you have. However, Havoc’s new boss triggers kinda defeat the purpose of Loner letting the Zealot dive into enemy backlines, as you’ll most likely trigger boss spawns.
There used to be a lot of value and power of a Zealot diving into enemy backlines to round up shooters, and I’d love to see that return, but something needs to be done with boss triggers then.
The other Auras might not be great either (well i’d argue Benediction is quite good and Bacon of Purity has its use to on Havoc with blight spreads / pox gas modifier) but better than actually nothing at all for your Team.
And as said most importantly its just an unnedded / unnecessary Role done better by everyone else while taking away and much needed and very important Role of the Zealot for your Team at the Front. If ur Team is just Veteran and Psykers what use is a Loner Zealot. Even Ogryn with Kickback is better at taking care of ranged Enemies.
