Large stutter when turning camera Issue

As of today, things seem to be working fine, no idea why.

Praise be I guess.

I’ll update if things change

Stutter still happening on launch.
Games is unplayable with it

I am having a similar turning problem. Everything is smoother since beta but there is an intermittent turning freeze with the mouse, but there is other movement like forward and backward and strafing still accepting input.

On the last day of beta I had 5/6 games running perfectly smooth.

Now that the game has launched it feels like we’re back to beta day one in terms of overall preformance. FPS is consistently lower again and the mouse issue is as severe as it first was.

I can cope with consistently low FPS, I cannot cope with this massive stuttering that makes me miss my inputs and my swings.

edit: I installed the latest driver that released today, performance is okay again. Mouse stuttering is still present

i get the fps drops when moving with mouse, my mouse is not wireless and is not logitech (Razer naga trinity), it feels less like a mouse problem and more something to do with their frustum culling or occulsion culling, cause what i notice in the low frames is stuff missing at the edge of screen and then appearing in the next frame, which leads more to frustrum than occulsion

I just had a super smooth game again like the end of the beta. I’m still trying to turn off my mouse before the game starts. This time I paid more attention and made sure I turned it off before even the shader cache load bar came up. Still can’t say for sure if that helps at all. I’ve also changed the settings around a lot, tried full ray tracing, then turned it off, then made Geforce optimize my game for me. After all that tinkering I’m having a smooth game. However, every single time the game runs smooth, there are massive frame freezes. Looks like the general stuttering but supercharged, but I really can’t be sure. I give up at this point tbh, I wish Fatshark could look into this, when the game is running smoothly it’s really amazing, when it stutters it’s a constant pain.

just to point out again, this is not a wireless mouse issue, i get this with a wired mouse

then how come trying another mouse or controller solves the issue?

I found when my free memory dropped below 2GB when I had 16GB of system memory it affected performance a lot. After upgrading it fixed it.

I tested with two different wireless mice, they used different drivers and different hardware. I don’t exactly have an exact duplicate of my mouse around but I’d be willing to bet if I did it would have presented the issue the same way. The issue is gone for me as of today and has been since release. Having said that I’m having loads of other issues which could be related including a lot of crashes and very poor performance but who knows

whats the polling rate between the two mice? cause i fixed my problem by reducing the polling rate from 1000hz to 125hz

I already tried that a while back but I wouldn’t want to reduce my polling rate for solution since every other game works fine. Aside from that, my games are still pyretty much 50-50. But I’ve noticed that when I don’t have any stuttering my games end in crash. That doesn’t happen when the stuttering is present.

So how’s everyone else doing with this stutter? Is it fixed? I have only played once today so I can’t tell. Last patch the game launched fine 4 times, then I updated my driver to play Portal RTX, then the stuttering came right back. I haven’t tested this update enough to be sure to tell if it’s gone.

Edit: day2 of update, the stuttering seems to be still here but severely reduced. can’t tell if it’s the same thing or just parts of the maps are loading in, but there are still sometimes micro stutters

For me it’s still gone but I am still getting other crashes
