Before the recent patch I reported a similar bug where grenades stuck to the BoN will randomly do no damage. The bug is even worse now, the rate of dud grenades is now more like 80-90% instead of 15%. The weakspot seems to “absorb” the most grenades but the rest of the body also has a high chance to cause them to dud.

This applies to rumbler grenades as well if you have the adhesive charge blessing. The explosion will do damage if you hit the BoN low down on its stomach but most other spots do 0 damage, especially the backside and anywhere from the mouth up.
