We are aware of a current issue whereby Vermintide 2 trailer audio can play over game audio upon launching Vermintide 2. This is a widespread issue occuring after recent Steam updates and is unfortunately out of our hands to fix.
However, players have had some success in resolving this issue using the following solutions/workarounds -
Check the Steam Overlay in-game browser for tabs playing audio:
Launch Vermintide 2
press SHIFT+TAB to open the Steam Overlay
Check for any open browser sites within the Steam Overlay that may be the source of the audio and close them
If no browser tabs can be located, then next please try deleting your Steam browser data by:
Open the Steam app
Navigate to āSettingsā
Select āIn Gameā in the side menu
Find āDelete Web Browser Dataā and select the āDeleteā option
Alternatively, if the two solutions above do not help, you can use the following workaround:
Issue Description:
Whenever the game is launched in Steam, the audio for the Blightreaper DLC Trailer plays endlessly on a loop, even in game. This happens as soon as the launcher appears. If I start the game and then close the launcher, the audio starts over, and continues until the game itself is closed. If I donāt start the game and leave the launcher up, the audio keeps going until the launcher is closed. Both the game and launcher need to be closed for the audio to stop playing on repeat.
Steps to Reproduce:
All I need to do is click PLAY on the game in Steam to reproduce. Uninstalling the entire game, verifying integrity of game cache, closing and restarting Steam, and ensuring all other windows are closed have not resolved the issue. There is no video corresponding to the audio, and nothing anywhere that can be paused. Itās simply there, playing constantly.

Shockingly, that solved it! Whatās odd is that the trailer starts playing as soon as the launcher is loaded, but there is no way to see it playing anywhere until you hit play and the game fully launches. Simply bizarre.
Exactly as the title says. Once opened, the launcher will play its B-roll. But when the game is actually launched the audio continues and loops over the in-game audio. When I went to force quit the launcher the game itself force quit
Literally just gotta open the game normally. game is up to date. No real extra steps
Same issue here. Launcher loops infinite time the soundtrack. Even in game. I have to mute Steam Client WebHelper to solve to problem, but this should NOT the way to fix it.
I am having same issue. However, in the first place, the Launcher isnāt opening correctly sized and I am unable to scroll or do anything other than the primary buttons, eg. Play, mods, settings, etc.
I tried the steam overlay and It didnāt open correctly either. it wasnāt the āoverlayā just some butchered version of steam itself.
Thirdly, the muting of the webhelper did solve the problem, however, I am concerned that it is using resources or might even cause audio conflicts.
Issue Description:
whenever I launch my game there is an audio loop that doesnt stop. it is of the same dialogue, (i dont know the specific name) a women talking about the blightreaper. this audio loop continues through the entire time i play no matter what i do in the game. i have tried turning my master volume down to 0 but it only mutes the game itself and not the audio loop.
Steps to Reproduce:
launching the game.
