We are looking in to an issue impacting our PS5 players where they may be placed in to an ‘Operative Selection’ state during matchmaking, requiring a restart.

I was wondering if the PS5 Crossplay bug has been addressed? When my friend and I are playing after we play one match we cannot play another one until I restart my game on PS5. He is on PC
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Join your PC friends lobby while playing on PS5. Play one match and then try to queue again for another match. It won’t allow the lobby host to start another session. It says that the PS5 user isn’t online or is choosing a character. PS5 player has to restart their game in order to play again
I’ll keep an eye on this post. I would very much like to be able to play with my friends again without us having to restart our games every match. One of the most annoying bugs I’ve experienced in this game.
Yes this is very crappy because I play with my buddy on pc and I keep having to restart my game after every match

For anyone trying to find a temp solution me and my dad found out that if the glitched playstation player picks the mission you can still proceed as if the glitch aint even happening
Yeah this want work with two ps player and two from pc or xbox in team, both ps player got the issue after one match!
We’re hoping to have this patched up in the 1.7.5 hotfix.

There has been this ongoing issue on PlayStation where every time between missions you appear as “In Operative Selection” and you have to leave your strike team and go all the way to the main menu and back for the game to recognize you loaded into the game. It does this every time between matches and can be quite annoying because on your end the game doesn’t tell you that you are showing up this way and can make it hard to stay in teams or be invited to them i.e. Havoc.

Nothing seems to resolve the error and there are numerous others I have spoken to on PlayStation experiencing this issue.

No need to wait until 1.7.5, we’ve been able to address this in a backend update, which is live NOW!
