KNOWN ISSUE: [PlayStation] Corrupt Game Data (Function inflate failed with code FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFD.)

We are aware of a Corrupt game data crash on PlayStation that can occur either during launch, or matchmaking.

The error will appear as:

Corrupt game data.

This error could be caused by a broken install. Try to re-install the game.

(Function inflate failed with code FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFD.)

This issue is caused by a corrupted texture for some of Bardin’s handgun illusions. We recommend avoiding using Bardin’s handgun until a fix is released.

If you last played as Bardin using the handgun you may be unable to launch Vermintide 2, as Bardin will be being selected by default when connecting with the backend.

Keep crashing on multiple maps saying “corrupt game files” something like that, I join friends and I don’t crash as much bit its still not ideal. This has all started happening since the update I have never crashed before. I don’t want to have to reinstall the game for it to still crash :sleepy:

Reinstalled the whole game, first game i launched “The Pit, Champion” I crashed again

I can still join other players through lobby browser and seem to not crash it seems to be when i host one myself

Can’t even get to the Taals Horn Keep, constant crash after the loading screen. PS4, error: “Corrupt game data. This error could be caused by a broken install. Try to re-install the game. (Function “inflate” failed with code “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFD”.)”

Tried to install the game on my ps5 system, same problem, constant crash after the start loading screen.

Hi both, sorry to hear this. Our console developers are current investigating this issue. Hopefully we’ll have a fix soon! Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

We’ve identified the issue (a corrupted texture with some of the weapon skins for Bardin’s handgun, so please avoid using this weapon for now which should hopefully avoid crashing) and we’ll have a fix coming in an update soon.

Everytime I boot up the game and get past the cinematic showing off the new Necromancer, without fail I get…

  2. Play online or offline.
  3. Skip class cinematic.
  4. Begin loading into hub.
  5. Error shows.
  6. Game crashes.

Someone posted a fix on Reddit (weird Bardin bot priority thing). You’ll need a friend with uncorrupted files—reinstalling won’t help. I hope FS will fix this soon

I just downloaded the latest update and the game is still bugged.
