We’ve seen several reports of having matches where the team consists of more than 4 Rejects because some bots refuse to leave after another player joins, all posts related to it will be merged here.
Please make all new reports of it as a reply to this thread. Including your player ID/steam id/steam profile, as well as the console log of the session where it happened, would be much appreciated.
Upload Console Log:
Press the Windows key + R
Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
Apologies for not being the best at reporting. Loaded into a mission halfway through, specifically right before the bridge fight. (where the lights turn on) 2 bots stayed with us until the end of the mission.
Other players confirmed they saw the bots. Bots acted as normal. Was quite fun, 6 players felt like a squad. Would love a modifier for extra players!
Hurray! I found both logs from yesterday, I’m not sure how to identify which one it was. (Also my PC clock is set 1 hr ahead since I forgot to update it to daylight savings they do in USA. I have zero idea if that’s relevant, I live in PST.)
At one point there were five players but one disconnected and was never replaced again. It didn’t seem to happen right at the start of the mission either. I joined just as my team dropped into the sewers on the oubliette mission. I was the second human player in the game when the others joined.
Honestly was pretty fun and didn’t seem to cause any issues (other than balance obviously!)
ALSO: dunno if this is intended but the bots friendly-fired the ogryn player and it played the dialogue where he complained and the bot apologised, and I dont think ive seen that before (although usually there aren’t bots so I wouldnt have seen it often anyway)

Happened yesterday only once, I did find it entertaining though. The root cause was I started solo with bots x3. Then a full player group popped but one of them d/c’ed on start up and his bot never left then after he reconnected, we were 5 players deep wrecking heretics. Those veteran aimbots are amazing at sniping bombers and bursters.
