After the update all og the achivments that require to win 100 missions on warlord or higher had ther progress decreased (most massive one from 82 to 56). Most if not all the careers were affected. On some heroes it says i have 9 wins, but at the same moment i have completed the all campaign on legend(which is 13 missions).

I re-unlocked cata for myself by playing the 3…sub-lords? That you need to unlock Skittergate, just as i finished Halescourge (last) the message poped about unlocking cata.

Figured i´d share this in case it wasnt known.

OK I’ve got some bad news. I just played with my regular group that plays Tuesday nights. None of them touched the game since before the patch (we only play Tuesday nights 6pm EST) but two of them are affected by this progression bug. This means that interacting with weekly/daily quests post-patch did not cause the problem. Here are their Steam profiles:

A second note: how does it take a full week to figure out what can be restored from backup? I am a sysadmin and I would have an answer about the backup status of critical data within one hour. Most of us would accept a restore of our achievement data if it’s a week old but the longer this is not addressed the more infuriating a restore of very old data will be.

It’s been over a week since the progression issues began, and we’re still without a fix. This is deeply concerning for those of us who’ve invested thousands of hours into the game, including myself. Losing progress feels like a massive betrayal of the time and effort we’ve poured into the experience. Please prioritize resolving this and communicate more frequently about what’s being done to address it. The community deserves transparency and a timely resolution.

@wesleyshaver our backend developers have checked your friends accounts but they do not appear to be affected by this issue. Their Cataclysm account data and progression appears to be intact.

Can they provide any further detail on what progression is missing?

Regarding comms, hopefully I’ll be able to share another update on this issue very soon!

I appreciate that it’s been over a week and updates have been slow-going. I’m aware that our backend developers have been working with our backend service provider to find a resolution, but I’m still waiting on a proper update. I’ll chase this and do my best to dig up some information for you all ASAP.

they could not start a Cataclysm mission. Only our 4th member could.

Apologies for the wait on an update to this issue. We hear your frustrations and concerns, understandably.

We are still working with our backend service provider in an attempt to restore missing player data. A list of all affected player accounts has been provided to our backend service provider, and they are working to provide a snapshot of the lost player data before the issue occurred (which would be the fastest resolution); with which we can merge this back into your post update-6.0.0 account progression.

However, to be fully transparent, we have been informed that this is not guaranteed. It will take a little more time to know for sure. We appreciate this is concerning to hear, and we want to reassure affected players that we have a plan B should it be needed.

Our second option, involves using other existing logs and data we have, to create a “backup” that can bring your account data as close as possible to what is was prior to update 6.0.0, and then merge this with your post update-6.0.0 account progression. This is an extensive task and will take longer to deploy - so we are hoping it won’t come to this.

In the meantime, there is a hotfix planned for tomorrow that will include a part-fix to unlock Cataclysm again for any players who previously had it unlocked.

We’ll continue to provide updates and share more information as soon as we can. Thank you for your continued patience.

Besides, would you mind sharing a rough timeline for this (for either option)?

We just want to know if the progress can still be fixed and what the probability is, because it has been a week since I lost the progress and I dare not log in to the game to play because I am afraid of rolling back or you guys coming up with even more weird bugs.Losing progress feels like a massive betrayal of the time and effort we’ve poured into the experience. If you really can’t fix it, I hope you can honestly tell the players to accept it as soon as possible, instead of just trying to reply to us as soon as possible, okay?

With Hotfix 6.0.4 Cataclysm should now be reunlocked for anyone who previously had it unlocked.

Now I am not able to start the launcher. I can see the process in task manager, but nothing else showed up. Previously this is due to EAC but re-installing does not seem to work this time.

Update: nvm, do a full reboot and it should be working again. And yes, cata is unlocked for me now.

Yes, I agree. I hope it can be fixed before Christmas, because after that they will go on holiday, making it even more uncertain.

Any updates? I have lost map progress on all non-Helmgart maps and most annoyingly Fortunes of War is locked.
