Kmode_exception_not_handled - bsod

Issue Description:

Error Displayed (If Applicable): KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED blue screen crash

Steps to Reproduce:
Unfortunately it seems entirely random. I’ve had this BSOD happen in missions, in the hub, etc.

I’ve had a dozen or so, but the last one was 1/16/2023, 1:58AM EST

Reproduction Rate:
Often (<75%) - happens every game, and usually several times per session

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter

    within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

Thank you for the direction, Julia. I’ve already done most of these fixes to no avail, but I’ve just now updated several mobo drivers (chipset, RealTek audio, USB, etc) so I’ll see if that fixes the issue.

Appreciate the support.

UPDATE: I picked up a pair of new matched 2x8 gig RAM chips and replaced my existing 4x4 gig chips and I was able to play 8 and a half hours without a BSOD. New RAM fixed my issue.
