so the Kinetic Shield Feat states
Take between 10% and 33% reduced Toughness damage from ranged attacks based on Warp Charge.
this does not seem to be the case.
tested Kinetic Shield in Psykhanium, have a level 30 Psyker.
tested with no Toughness Curios, and with Creature Spawner Mod.
so it seems like Kinetic Shield is getting Damage reduction from Peril rather then warp charges.
is this a bug or was this changed recently and my game just is showing the wrong text?
Huh, looks like the tooltip got reverted. I just went and checked in game. Assuming this is true that’s honestly kind of hilarious. As you can see from that thread though, they fixed the tooltip at some point but apparently broke it again.

This affects only the description. The code behind was not changed, it was always based on peril. The reason for this was that, in fact, Peril is referred to as warp_charge in code and Warp Charges are souls. So whoever wrote the first iteration got confused, rightfully so.
