Who told you where is the proof. Keep in mind many weapons were buffed since then/at same time. So the old breakpoints may no longer apply.

You are wrong, sometimes even 5% extra damage can make the difference in hitting a breakpoint. It can change immensely how a weapon can perform in certain situations. For example with the right Power Maul (one of the most misunderstood weapon in the game that literally anyone dumps s*it on) one can cut trough pox walkers and groaners like butter.

If break points aren’t an issue, then META shouldn’t exist. A breakpoint, in the context of reaching maximum damage potential falls within the META description.
