i mean… if its a bug its been in the game since at least patch 13 then i guess, ogryns been able to stun lock Daemonhosts forever i think? at least for as long as i can remember. and way back in the day club slaps could perma chaos spawns easily, then that got removed but the mk3 shovel uppercut still could when used with bullrush, and since the ogryn rework back in march 2025 the club slap is able to perma chaos spawns again also with bullrush but also requires active stacks of no hurting friends and all the impact you can get.
but its still kinda easier to perma chaos spawns with the shovel since you don’t need active stacks of no hurting friends, or just use rocks, rock body shots can stagger chaos spawns too
Yeah Branx push attack is super cool. Basically the heavy cleaving strike, with less damage overall and 1 less enemy cleaved but target 2 takes almost the full hit damage. Its like 5% less damage than target 1. The hockey sweep on Borovian is quite weak…and the pull is far inferior to the bash.
Are you talking about the attack that is triggered immediately after a push?
I thought people were talking about the special attack which I think is pants on the branx. That stupid little double push that locks you into an animation and leaves you wide open and the push barely affects the enemies.
The overhead immediately after a push is cool though.
push attacks happen when you hold attack while pushing, they’re not listed in the moveset. I’d disagree hard on the Branx special, its an actual attack with the same upshot (ignoring conventional stagger reduction and applying the +10% damage from all sources for 5s ‘pull’ debuff). it has around 50% of the power of a normal sweep attack, with 7 hit targets and noticeably faster frame data (around 0.6s instead of around 0.8s). its pretty useful for applying that debuff to multiple elites at a time, or using it to continue to beat back mobs. I find the ‘pull’ extremely dogwater by comparison…you can just do an overhead attack with the Branx to do that level of stagger to anything, and it does like 5% of the damage of a normal attack. The slap has a far better chance of killing than this move. The Branx special meanwhile can kill gunhands on Auric in one hit on a melee loadout.
Ok but I hope we can all agree that the Branx special attack animation is borked. In first person you smack forward with the head of the weapon (with super janky transition animations), but the third person animation is a butt attack.
On paper perhaps but do you really find it useful in the field? I find it is mostly ignored by enemies and locks me into a long and janky animation that leaves me wide open to attacks and is very difficult to flow out of. I don’t see why any branx swing isn’t superior and quicker? I often take damage when locked into that stupid animation, especially in havoc where 90% of all enemies are seemingly completely immune to stagger.
I’ve just never had much success with it, unlike the special on the other 2 picks, which are nice and quick and effective.
I just don’t use the branx special at all. It doesn’t exist to me anymore lol, and the branx is probably my most successful havoc weapon.
I don’t care for damage profile on PAs, not what I need em for. Boro comes out quicker and hits more.
To be clear, I was never a fan of Branx to begin with, too slow, need to tiptoe around on eggshells with to not take chip dmg hordeclearing, and have kinda lost its niche not being able to oneshot havoc crushers anymore. The God aweful PA and the rather lengthy single target combo of special heavy light makes Karl less desirable in the age of rotten packs as well.
Borovian really is the happy medium of jack of all master of none, which more people would have discovered, if it weren’t for Arbi completely invalidating using any ogryn setup other than FNP shield for havoc. Because at that point, why bother?
half the guns need a serious damage buff. need ammo efficiency on pbb of maybe 40% (not enough to effect rumbler). give ripper and double stub double ammo on clip and total. ggs from there
that’s will be great improvement, sometimes it’s just impossible to land a charged hit because of lags, it’s just goes through intended target and second wide swing usually strike trash mobs, sad times
There’s a couple attacks in the game that don’t have matching first and third person animations. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen the FGS poke from the third person perspective.
except there is a bit of a debate, hivescum shouldnt be able to delete packs of crushers to begin with. the hivescum rpg instantly erases any difficulty that decides to walk into your FOV, Ogryn deals with the difficulty the old fashioned way… by playing the game and clicking on enemies strategically
