Is Thursday still a commlink day?

Apparently I spoke too soon, FS employees seem to work until 8pm

There was a small hint of acknowledgement about crafting at least. So at least not silence this time.

There is a hint they’re finallying reading the forum. So it’s a small step forward.

Already have 2-4 weapons per class I have preference too. So just saving my dockets/materials in hope it will be what is required to unlock.

Why do people keep saying this. It’s nothing new. That’s what Catfish has been saying to people for months. No offense to you at all, but it’s literally them rephrasing something they’ve said countless times already and people are praising them for it.

You are correct. If me I would of actually made the effort to list the main points raised from forum and reddit.

Someone else on forum actually spent hours to prepare notes and collect the main points for them and created an analysis. He done something they should of, show what the points actually are, to show te effort was made rather than generic vague responses.

A Review by Reginald - Warhammer 40,000: Darktide / General Discussion - Fatshark Forums (fatsharkgames.com)

It is a small step, at least something gone into their heads.

I just hope some integrity is there or “We have made enough money” mentality to not leave the game in static state.

I get it you’re not happy with current state. If we didn’t have some sort of belief for turnaround we wouldn’t be here putting on the pressure. Would of just left forum completely and move on.

Community Feedback
The team continues to review some of the top issues (areas of feedback) that we see. Most notably, the desire for more agency in things like account based currencies, perk refinements, adjustments to crafting locks and options on the mission board. We are not ready to announce anything concrete yet, but stay tuned. We will share more details on our next steps during summer. What is important to know is that any upcoming changes aren’t the end of the journey in those areas, rather the beginning as we continue to evolve Darktide.

Come on. It’s been over six months now.

How many fatshark devs does it take to satisfy the community?
Answer:
Only one: the project owner.

:ok_hand: precise

Sometimes it’s worth just swallowing the ego, saying yes to change.
And then if things do not go the right way, have the strength to say no and dile things back.

We are still in early access after all

I sometimes wonder how many concurrent players/purchases on console they had for VT 2. I bet no where near as PC and shame can’t see concurrent players like Steam. Wonder how Xbox will sell or just be game pass anyway to end up with temporary players.

200 staff, flagship game which has complexity of a mobile game and reused graphical assets of each map looking the soon. Saying all the missions take place in the same location is just a convenient way to reused graphical assets. In VT2 with map variation environment you could actually tell what mission you were on.

Trust me all. Directors/Managers etc I have come across highly paid ones which have no clue what they’re doing and just ride it out to next job before someone realises to call it career progression. They seek to play along at other’s expense, short term gain, steal ideas to present as their own. This is it. They’re just patting eachother on the back, secreting working on their resumes/CV.

I know that forum members would do a better job due to knowledge and understanding to make a game a success.

200 staff. Must be really top heavy to leave so few resources to create 2 maps. 2 maps with same assets. It doesn’t take 100 people to port to Xbox either. I’ve seen modders from other game overhaul an entire game’s mechanic and add more maps in his spare time away from a 9-5 office job out of boredom and for free.

Darktide may have owners, but sure as hell do not have a single leader.

No offence but if I was being used as a puppet, a punchbag, fall guy to the community for communication to keep internal people away from the public, rather not be the face of the game and someone to blame or take the hit for problems I have no control over. I would move on.

sounds like a lived experience

All the time. That’s why I went into business with a friend. To work smarter, not harder and you’ll be surprised how every day people think they’re not as smart as a director/manager but don’t give themselves enough credit.

This is turning into like Battlefield 2042 where it took them like 3-4 months to put in scoreboard and called it QOL update when it was always a base function in their previous games in the series.

Pretty sure the scoreboard is not coming. They essentially said from the start they don’t want it.

That’s a shame. It would be fair to assume most people would want it. If they’re worried about toxicity, they could make it a stats report that only shows up after everyone has left mission end lobby.

What is your position about scoreboard? : DarkTide (reddit.com)

They gave a few statements about looking into it and brainstorming ideas about it, but nothing since. That was when they responded to the person threatening to be even more toxic to his whole team instead of the people they perceived to be “underperforming” by way of seeing it on a scoreboard.

Yeah I remember that. Just saying, @Headhunter, don’t hold your breath.
There is a mod out for Darktide that adds a scoreboard in the way of how VT2’s scoreboard looked, damage numbers and all. You will enjoy it.
