Is there anyway to move progress from Microsoft app to Steam?

Issue Description (Required):

I have bought and been playing Darktide on the Xbox computer app and have spent quite a bit of money and time on it but, have realized that I will neither keep access to it once I leave Windows nor do I want to keep using the Windows Xbox app. Is there anyway I can transfer my progress and cosmetics?

I believe they used to offer a migration for specific situations/people over a year ago with a slight ding to your equipment but the process if requested, would just give you level 30 Characters/names and unlocks, such as penances/blessings, current economy and microtransactions, but not your weapons, curious etc. As of over a year ago they no longer do this and I do not think it is possible.

I would be okay with this far more than knowing sooner or later, my progress isn’t going to be accessible because I won’t use Windows 11. Most of my game time has been leveling up all of my characters and weapon masteries.

You will not be able to, the best you can do is join the Darktide Discord and ask around there as there is some CM ppl in there, but they don’t really engage, im 99% sure you wont be able to migrate anything and would need to start over, sorry bud, I have always tried to tell my friends and people in general if they want to invest in long term gaming on PC always use steam if available sorry bro, if it means anything you can easily grind it back just playing occasionally if you focus on one class at a time when you can play, apologies.

@Kade0155 we can only provide a limited service which mirrors your operative experience/levels, unlocked difficulty and non-premium currency (ordo dockets, diamantine, plasteel, marks). No other progress is able to be transferred.

However, our account mirroring services are currenty paused - but the service will resume in the future (no ETA yet, but updates will be posted here: Can Fatshark Transfer My Progress in Darktide to Another Account?)

Thanks Lev. Say when the mirroring service gets resumed, think there’s any chance it’ll be more comprehensive than the prior limited service?

Good question! I can’t make any promises but I am in talks with our backend developers with hopes to improve elements of the service (though it’s more on the actual process/functionality in the backend itself). If we can wrangle any further account data that could be mirrored that would be amazing - but it’s something that needs more investigation.

Currently we mirror the safest possible data, so anything additional comes with risk and a boat load of testing required. So resourcing may be another hurdle. However, we’ll see what we can do!
