Is Soulblaze supposed to be a joke?

65% ?
How ?

Best i’ve found so far is 12% block efficiency, for a total of 46% (force sword 10% + 3 curios)
There is the added benefit of Inner Tranquility, but i’m personally still not clear if it does affect blocking peril

Block spec is indeed pretty good, i run that myself, i wouldn’t pretend it’s that amazing though because there’s still a ton of stuff that outright ignores blocking
Where it shines is for clutch res

And i’m sorry but if you do really believe Psyker is the strongest late game class you need more experience
The fact that your team dies before you literally doesn’t mean anything, and i can also speak from experience on that point

At max item level and a little below it (I think around the 400+ threshhold for weapons and 100+ threshold for curios) you get +20% to block efficiency.

So the guy probably has it on three different curios and one weapon.

15% from curious x3 is 45%
15% from Block Efficiency on Force Sword
5% from Blessing that let’s you block Ranged attacks

That is 65%.

I’m sorry, but if you can’t do basic math like this I don’t really see how you have much experience at all. The fact that you think that me surviving longer than my team mates is what equates to strong when it is the fact that you can stun all elites and specials forever is what makes it strong and not just that - with a proper surge staff will also kill most specials in 2 instantly fired Surge Shots and 3-4 Shots for an Elite/High HP special is what makes it strong and when you have a horde that primarily consists of armored specials, maulers and ragers on top of a few Ogryn’s then you’re happy that the Psyker is permanently keeping 10 of those locked down and open for easy killing.

If you think that damage in a Tide game is what makes you strong, you need to go back to basics.

Calm your tits edgelord xXPr06AmezXx i’m not interested in watching your epeen

You literally used the fact that you’re the last one left standing as the proof you’re stronger than the rest of your team

Haven’t seen any of these yet, and i’ve been rolling curios and force swords like crazy for the last couple of days

Do you have screenshots ?

Again, best i’ve found is 10% on Force Sword and 12% on curios

The damage does not scale linearly. The more stacks you have, the more damage per stack it does. That being said, even with the Purgatus staff which seems to apply stacks with every attack, it takes like 5 seconds or more to get the stacks up to a level where they start to tick for meaningful damage, and then you gotta wait for another 5 for the damage to tick in. With the void staff the enemy would be dead before you get the stacks up there.

Furthermore, armoured enemies take dramatically reduced damage from stacks, which seems a bit weird. Why is armour protecting their soul?

Damage over Time effects in general are very weakish. I feel the same way about Bleed.
Right now where you can procc it every time due to Laceration being bugged, it’s decent even on high level plays. But once that bug is fixed, Bleed will be just as useless.

I get what they are going for with the “everyone can contribute to DoTs, so they can stack up a lot”, but by the time they’d be meaningful the targets are dead - Even on Damnation.
In that case it just is more sensible to go for a pure damage Horde / Elite deletion weapon.
That Bleed and here Soulblaze are baked deeply into the classes and thus immediate “no-pick” traits is sad.

It feels we’re back to Vermintide 2, where only one Meta trait for each slot is worth picking and the rest just massively inferior.

Um… If you haven’t tested it yourself and if the staff doesn’t apply stacks like you think it does, that would mean that there’s no good build for soulblaze at all. Damn lol rip psyker players

There is no good soulblaze build because off how useless it is … The debuff itself is a joke because it do no visible damage. Even when using a fire staff blazing poxwalker are more likly to be killed by anything else meaning that soulblaze is mainly a visual buff as it don’t impact gamplay. And the perk that could make it work is also a joke because it need thing to die from it have a low chance to grant a warp charge. Well that don’t happen.
In fact if you do a run without using BB and without Psychique comunnion it is possible to get no warp charge at all from Ascendent Blaze even with a flame staff and using the ult pretty much on cooldown.
