Is Showstopper blessing useful at all?

A lvl 4 blessing that has a 20% chance of triggering a weak explosion if you kill a certain type of enemy with it.
What’s the use of this? It should trigger the explosion 100% of the time at least to make it worth it barely the weak explosion.

Even then, it would barely be worth it. The elites are the last thing to die in a sustained flamer barrage so there is seldom even anything still alive to actually be damaged by it.

I have thought that a good alternative would be a chance of causing an explosion on a burning elite, one that isn’t dead yet. It wouldn’t insta-kill them but would be kinda like it set off an ammo magazine or a grenade in their pocket or something (fans of Dark Heresy may recall such events in that game) and it does a decent little AoE around them. Hopefully enough to kill a burning poxwalker? Higher tiers could increase the chances, the radius, or the damage or all three or whatever.

I guess you are right.

Could be, though not gonna lie, I’m kinda annoyed by things that work by chance, I would prefer to have certain condition for guaranteed activation.

All burning elites have minor explosions on a crit? Burning elites explode on reaching max burn stacks? With appropriate internal cooldowns, of course.

It never seemed to be the best thing, but I’ve been running on flamer for a while now just because I like it.
