Nice ! Excited to see that coming in the game !

If this works like I think it does, it’ll do a really good job of making each game more interesting. We’ve all been in games where the challenge is “get the most kills” rather than “survive by the skin of your teeth”. The jump from auric damnation to maelstrom is a bit high, but by spreading the difficulty out over 40 variants, it’s a lot easier to find the difficulty that offers enough challenge to improve without being overwhelmed. Can’t wait to play it.

I was really hoping for something more similar to Chaos Wastes, not weaves… Nonetheless, I am happy to see that bigger content is being worked on! However, I am concerned about how this will play out, with it sounding like this will rely on the party system for teammates. Obviously not everybody has a group that they play with and they have to solo queue frequently. If this gamemode is going to solely rely on the party finder feature to get teammates, we might as well just make Havoc a solo challenge. I frequently check the party finder at different times of the day and have literally never seen more than one person looking for a party at a time. And frequently it is no one looking for a party. People just aren’t using this feature. Havoc mode sounds like it will give people a reason to use party finder, but it would be a massive mistake to make party finder the only way to get teammates for this.

So I need to clear Auric Maelstorm or normal Maelstorm? Maybe its time to try this.

nowadays, 70% of players who go down or die leave the game immediately. cowards like that should be dropped two ranks when they quit a Havoc game.

This sounds fun and good, but please:

This time, PLEASE make sure leaving counts as losing. Don’t repeat this mistake endlessly. While you’re at it, please fix gamebreaking exploits that would make these missions too easy, such as being able to disconnect then reconnect to recover from being downed.

I agree with everyone about the Moebian 21st modifier.

Please add it to normal mission rotation too.

oh come on. so we wait a week for this crap to rotate out? we just wanted map selection and more challenging modifiers to pick from, not this randomized rotation of junk. this is NOT the difficulty the higher level community is asking for. this is the exact kind of system and tedium that prevents us from just being able to play something with difficulty, instead we’re going to get frustrated and annoyed having to play stupid modifiers that aren’t even difficult at all, or beg someone that has gone through this for that week to put us at the rank where there’s an actual decent modifier.

is moebian 21st seriously going to be locked behind this obtuse gamemode?

why is it so hard to just let us pick what we want via party finder?

I’d like to propose not this one. Its super restrictive and settings dependent. Its a “fun” modifier not a challenge one.

The only concerns I have, as usual, is I think the very hard content is best to have without penance/cosmetic rewards as it will flood the difficulty with people hoping to be carried.

It’s nice there’s a gated approach but I think the Havoc Game Mode would be best implemented where the XP, crafting, etc. is no better than Auric for farming, and there’s no penances or cosmetics tied to it.

But I guess it’s too late with this announcement, hopefully the gated needing to beat one order before progressing is enough (without friends).

First: New mutators, penances, etc are great. More difficulty options = great.

Second: Why did this have to be structured around a new “game mode” with a ladder-type of thing instead of just being an extension to Maelstrom or something?

I say this because like weaves before it, I wonder if such a mode that’s separate from the core mission and mission selection will end up bifurcating the player base and lead to this mode eventually fizzling out and being a wasted feature and effort.

I guess we’ll need to see more details about it gets structured.

Surely stealth knife cheese will be addressed before this is launched.

Also while this seems great and all, I would still love to be able to que up a game of Monstrous Moebian Hi Shock whenever.
