Integrate Banishing Light into Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude

Isn’t it strange how every other ability (including other classes) requires one talent point, yet Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude requires 2 points to progress through the talent tree? The stagger and suppression of the necessary Banishing Light should just be integrated into the main ability of Chorus, instead of having to spend 2 talent points.

Agreed. There is no good reason for Chorus to be taxed for one point, if every single other ability have all their upgrade nodes presented as optional choices.

i can think of one, small reason for this
but it is a small reason, just the only thing i can think of, i like to try and see all sides to the problem if possible, this is not my personal opinion just my objective view on the matter
i personally couldn’t care less about if this gets changed or not i wouldn’t be happy or sad either way

when traveling through the skill tree, if you want to switch from one tree to another, you will more then likely need to take +1 small perk point, to do so

if you are on the left side of the tree and you want to get to the right side of the tree, that is +2 perk points to switch over

however, if you go straight down the middle of the skill tree, at any point you have the advantage that, going to the left or right tree will only cost +1 skill point

going from fury of faithful to inoperable judgement costs 7 skill points
going from shroud field to blazing piety cost 7 skill points

going from spiritual fortitude to either of the outside keystones, also costs, exactly 7 skill points

the devs may have designed it in this way for some kind of tree balance reason, since the outside perk paths are already a little nerfed by the fact that, they need to spend more points to get from one side of the tree to the other

It’s just strange how Chorus is the only ability in the entire game to suffer a talent point tax. I don’t really see how this balances anything.

your not wrong, i agree i think it should be changed, i just like to try and view a problem from all angles, playing devils advocate and all that

from one standpoint it makes no sense and it should be the same as all other abilities in the game

on the other hand, literally every skill tree has a different layout, and may need to be adjusted on a per tree basis to keep each characters tree balanced fairly

I was just thinking this earlier today. It needs integrating.
