Just some quick questions regarding inherent crit rate of characters and weapons because since patch 13 dropped I have been getting inconsistent answers from people on the subject. To make it quick:
Does Vet still have an inherent 10% crit chance, which means if you take the crit chance node you get 15% base crit rate?
Do weapons still have inherent crit rates (or did they ever have them)? For example I heard that the Ogryn Clubs had a -2% crit chance modifer and that the las pistol had a +3-5% crit chance modifer.
I would love if people would be able to cite sources rather than saying yes or no. If people don’t know, I guess I could just pay more attention to the Scoreboard Damage mod crit rates and average them to find out an average base crit rate.
There’s this old comment on Reddit (link) with a list of crit rates discovered by someone on the Discord; I amn’t sure if it’s still valid, but I don’t think I’ve seen any changes to base crit chance in the patch notes.
EDIT: It’s also listed in this Steam Guide; I suspect both the comment and guide are sourcing their info from the same place.
I know weapons have finesse which affects crits, and some weapons have a bar (like on revolver) that affects crit damage.
Otherwise, I don’t know.
There were other strange hidden things about the classes like zealot taking 0 toughness damage while sliding. Or vet taking MORE toughness damage while sprinting. But I don’t know if any of those are still in the game or thrown into the talent trees and dropped elsewhere.
Maybe the first “node” at the top of each tree could list some of these class base skills you always get if they’re still in the game.
I guess you could use the same weapon, and shoot 100 times and see how many crits you get as a level 1 vet compared to ogryn
Most of those hidden stats were changed to normalise the base characters. EG Zealot no longer has 100% TDR while sliding, Veteran no longer takes 2x toughness damage while sprinting. Stamina stats are the most similar to pre 13 from memory though obviously Vet got a huge stam regen delay buff.
Again my source for most of this is Discord peeps, the illustrious Tiny Angry Crab mostly. Dude furiously tests things and reads the LUA, worked out how to optimise Claw sword parries long before the buff, just general mad lad.
Yeah I just meant official data. And “mostly” isn’t the most encouraging. It would really be nice to have them show any differences like that in the tool tip or details for the base class.
Yeah for sure this info should be provided in game somewhere. I kinda wanna learn to read the LUA just so I can stop being dependent on Discord peeps and steam guides to check what’s really going on with different stats.
Yeah like the easiest I would think is just like the tool tip gives info on what the nodes mean, if there’s base class bonuses, just show them on the central starting node.
I do find it incredibly silly that literally none of the official DT sites including the wiki have simple stats like innate crit chance for both weapons and classes.
Is there some spreadsheet some Wizard-tier Darktide player created that has every stat for every aspect of the game? Even the Wiki and lantern are desolate when it comes to specific stats/interactions.
