my concerned reaction was because i knew everyone would vote for damnation or above on the forum, and i didn’t want FS to tailor the game around those diffucilties
damnation is damnation, from the name is meant to be unfair and punishing
weapons, blessings and talents should be balanced for Malice difficulty, and it should not matter if some low tech weapons like lasguns, autoguns, stub revolvers and kitchen knives, would feel underwhelming on the higher difficulties
i understand my take is not well received because i advocate for weapon nerfs, and i’m well aware that a videogame would thrive more from enemies buffs than player nerfs
the 14% movement speed increase for mobs was the most well received game balance since chain weapons buffs
rubbish, why forfeit the kills pickups for the melk weeklies? get those either way.
plus mats are mats. few seconds through the loss screen i rather take than p1ss off empty handed.

Anyway. I mostly play Hi Intensity Shock on Auric, there’s usually one map I like up on that board. I do hang out on regular board at odd hours for the sake of filling games, a bot run is easier on no modifiers…

You should’ve had votes be private so people can’t see who voted for what. People who play at low difficulties are probably going to see the current spread and not want to say what they play on now.

there’s nothing TO contribute. it a labeled poll for people to announce how “good” they are. it’s either a hugbox thread or bait, and bait is the best option there.
I love the fact that you’re assuming every vote is purely a reflection of people’s ego on a largely anonymous internet forum, and the idea of polling the forum to see how they may or may not differ from average users doesn’t even occur to you.

if they were doing that they’d have made it anonymous.
he should have allowed multiple choices… can’t vote for damnation AND auric damnation.
I’d love to know the win/loss rates by difficulty tiers, and the breakdown of players in that group, by “true level” and platform(controller), that would be very telling imo.

I have no idea how you’re not banned yet. This behavior is not only unbecoming, but also incredibly pointless, unnecessary and uncalled for.
This thread was more or less called for by a CM as a means of getting a better understanding of the crowd on these forums and nothing else.

Let’s pull the back end data and see what people actually click on to play? A sample size of 50 forum regulars is hardly indicative!

Pretty sure unprovoked toxicity and excessively hostile combativeness for its own sake are some thoroughly legit reasons to ban someone but maybe that’s just me.
This poll was specifically created not to gauge the distribution of players on the game as a whole, but to gauge this forum’s members so as to better understand from what perspective people here say the things they say and think the things they think:

It may not be the most important stat, but at the very least it can show at what level game is being discussed on the forums, and what the main perspective is here because of it.
Also imo I think polls are fun interesting things to see, not necessarily massively important information.

I don’t even do that. I just omit stupid penances like complete x missions and deathless runs and have fun.
