Whenever the game is launched, it automatically selects an incorrect matchmaking region because it incorrectly maps the ping for the locations. The location must be manually changed on every startup and only retains until the game is closed.
As can be seen in the attached screenshot, this is what the game automatically chose for me while I’m in Central Europe. When starting a match, every action has a 0.5 - 1 second delay if I play on the North American servers. (That’s how I know this issue is happening and I forgot to manually change it before queueing.)
I do believe most of the ping values are wrong. My internet is pretty fast and I highly doubt I’d have 40 ping to Western North America while having 100+ ping for Eastern North America. 1 ping is just generally nonsensical of course and somehow my actual location has a higher than expected minimal ping.

Start the game.
- Be in Europe? - I didn’t test it outside of Europe obviously but I’ve never been “accidently” automatically given the Europe server as of yet.
